in regards to the pants, my mom said the elastic waists were better b/c they're easier to take off/put on during bathroom breaks! :lol:

totally true though, when we start doing clinicals i'm sure bathroom breaks will have to be very quick! don't want to waste time tying up drawstring pants.

I would think its easier to wash the elastic ones too....-- you dont have to worry about the string comming out.. or getting all tangled up

Just a suggestion....

I bought all of my nursing books from amazon.com. I was able to get most of them used, but in "like new" condition for a lot less. if you get the "like new" condition, it really is like new. the pages are clean and crisp, spine is unbroken....it usually looks like the book has NEVER been used. it takes anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks to get your book, depending on the seller, so if you choose this option, you may want to order soon! :wink2:

No.. no word on schedules yet. I was admitted for the day program. I heard that there is a "registration lottery" (sounds like

its gonna be an all day-er at orientataion)

does anyone know if we start on aug 27th or 28? i'm gonna call the office on monday, but i just wanted to see if anyone could answer here. from looking at old posts, i saw that mondays were testing days? would we have to go even though there's nothing to be tested on (actually i take that back, i bet there IS something to be tested on, lol)?

I wish school would hurry up. I've worked my ass off to get to this point and its like hitting a glass wall-- I can see it all and I just can't freakin touch it!!.. my ONE summer class is almost over and I am already bored out of my mind! I can barley keep my mind straight in anticipation for the orientation... let alone wait until the 27th!.. is any one else feeling this way?

the website says:

"The required namepins will include the first name and last initial. In the designated box, please enter the first initial and last name that you want to appear on your namepins."

wtfunk??? they just contradicted themselves.

how is it supposed to be? how did you order yours?

LOL that's so funny! I'm glad you pointed it out I never even noticed that. I'll call the school to see how they want it and let you know. Anyhow I just wanted to say congrats to everyone and I look forward to making new friends not to mention study partners (cuz you know we'll all need support at some point, lol). I'm so excited and scared at the same time but I can't wait for it to actually happen. Yippee!!!
