You have until the 17th of this month to accept or decline!~.. stay on their butts!

I got in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:balloons::balloons::balloons:

I am SO excited!!! I went to the school today and got my packett. YEA!!!! I can't wait, but I'm so nervous too.

I have a question.....did anyone get the book list? Because when I picked up my packet, there was a sheet that said book list, but no list. If anyone has it, could you maybe email it to me????

Well, I can't wait to see you all at orientation.

Good luck to us all!!!:nurse:

congratulations! i guess you accepted your seat right on the spot.? :)

yes, i got the book list. i'd scan it for you but my scanner is dead. there is a lot of info on it.

in regards to the packet, a lot of things in mine were in the wrong order.

oh yeah, anyone get all their stuff done yet? i just got my blood drawn today, awaiting results. also getting my PPD checked on sunday. aand i also got my fingerprinting done. i think the only things left are bg check and drug testing!

I recieved a full book list. I called.. and the lady who picked up said that we will be registering for classes at orientation and that we are to get our books then too. So I am waiting until orientation for all of that. Have any o f you gotten the background/fingerprinting done yet. I did the background online... and i have an appt for the fingerprintingnext week.

Congrats on getting in! Im soo glad it worked out for you!

do we HAVE to get our books that same day? i'll probably call the office but... i think i want to try and find these books at the cheapest price possible online first.

I'm going to call the office on Monday because I want to see if they can fax me the book list. I want to see what's on there. I'm also going to ask if we have to get our books at orientation, because my sister has been acfcfepted to her nursing program i nsouth Florida, and what she is doing is getting her books from Barnes and Noble. She told me yesterday to pay for the membership, which is $25, and that you get 20% discount on hard back books, and that they can order almost all the text books. She said the discount card has already paid for itself. (I really hope I don't get in trouble for advertisting, because that's not what I'm trying to do...I promise.)

Anyway, if anyone else has a way to scan me the full book list, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm going to try and get the testing done this week. I have to call my PCP to see how much he's going to charge, because if that northside clinic is a lot cheaper, I'll probably just go there, especially since that's where we have to get the drug testing done.

hey, i got the student manual and uniform order sheet today!

YEAH!.. I got the uniform stuff too.. Ive been trying to go on that website.. but its not working or something. I also thought about getting the books via barnes and noble-- still may. I was goin to check the prices after I am for sure registered for the classes.

you might want to try typing in FCCJ in call caps for the passcode... even though it says on the sheet that it's not case sensitive. lol.

i was typing in the passcode with all lower case letters and wouldn't let me in, so i just typed in FCCJ with all caps and whaddya know...

anyway, i think i am going to get the unisex drawstring pants... although the sizing is pretty funky! no elastic waist pants for me, nuh uh.

I ordered my uniforms yesterday. I did end up with the elastic ones, but I figure I should have enough time to exchange them if I totally hate them. I ordered one extra set of uniforms, so 3 total, plus one lab coat and 2 name pins and it cost $190!!!! I can't beleive that! It's insane. Plus, I'm pretty sure that my health insurance isn't going to cover any of the testing and vaccines, so there's a whole bunch too. Oh well....I guess it's a good investment in the long run. :)

Yes it is a good investment..I think Im gonna pick up the elastic band pants too ( as drawstrings and I dont always get along-- they tend to fall of of me!).. I priced out the books and it actually is only 20 bucks LESS at B&N than at the bookstore for all new books-- so just for sake of knowing you can blame the bookstore if things go wrong I think Im just gonna stick to the bookstore.
