FAU FNP 2019

Nursing Students NP Students

So I do not think there has been a forum made yet for the FAU FNP program starting in August 2019. Other programs starting then welcome as well. The applications are officially open so I was hoping for some discourse on the application/interviews/etc.

I'm still in the middle of my application. Anyone having "fun" with nursingcas and started as well?

My cumulative gpa was a 3.7 but idk my nursing gpa. I wish nursingcas gave us the gpas they calculated. A lot of my nursing classes had credits but were pass/fail so I'm not really sure how they got mine and whether those were included or only classes on the 4.0 scale were counted.

Ahhhh they said we should know whether we are accepted by early April. So close but so far! I only applied to this program so I'm so nervous.

Hello again all. I got the interview invitation, Feb 28th ?

email says its 15 minutes long. Cant imagine it's very in depth with that kinda time. Has anyone heard the type of questions they ask?

Nursesoonfnp how did your interview go?

it was great but sooooooooooooooooooooo short. i didnt time it but i want to say it was more like 8-10 minutes instead of 15. but the questions were not complicated. no questions on "what would you do if___ happened? or tell me about a time a patient ___?" etc. questions were generic like why fau over other schools. Everyone was so nice but i feel like the questions were not the kind to really narrow down the group. unless they are looking more at how you act and if you are professional and dont say "um" every other word.

I worked a night shift prior and didnt sleep until after my 2pm interview so I hope they dont think i always look exhausted haha. I wish i hadnt been so tired because the trip to boca just for 10 minute talk could have been better if i explored the campus a bit more.

Nurses, I am sure it went fine. I think they only ask the same generic questions to everyone. I am both nervous and excited about my interview as I am a nervous interviewer either way. Did you apply for the Boca Campus?

I had a 3.7 GPA, that's well above the requirement for the GRE

I fear I won't get an invite.......

If you go back to NursingCAS and you click on the download Application button it will allow you to see exactly what was given to FAU. It’ll show your cumulative GPA that was calculated.

Agreed, a 3.7 is a great nursing GPA!

I know it's competitive but was 3.2 too low?
