FAU FNP 2019

So I do not think there has been a forum made yet for the FAU FNP program starting in August 2019. Other programs starting then welcome as well. The applications are officially open so I was hoping for some discourse on the application/interviews/etc.

I'm still in the middle of my application. Anyone having "fun" with nursingcas and started as well?

I had the option to choose between two dates March 13 and March 15 to interview at the Boca campus. Though I applied for the Davie campus. I choose March 13th

Did anyone get an email after setting up the interview to confirm the date and time.

It seems like the interviews for the Boca Campus are not rolling out as yet...idk why...hopefully soon. I mean I would love to have peace of mind to know wether or not I was being offered an invite so as to open up some options.

Did those who received invites status change on the FAU app portal? Mine still sats "Referred to department".

No email was received afterwards confirming the date/time I choose to interview.

I just checked my status on the portal, it still says referred to department

I don’t think the status changes until after the interview and they make a decision

Hello Everyone,

I thought that I had missed the deadline because nursingcas was taking forever to make the entries for my grades, the deadline was February 15 and my transcripts entry was not even done by that date. So I had given up hope about getting admitted into the FNP program at FAU so I decided to apply to UWF (University of West Florida). But today, I opened my email around 11:26 AM, I received an email inviting me to participate at an interview for fall 2019 at Boca Campus; what a pleasant surprise when I least expected it. Thank you Lord ? now I am really stressed about this interview. Good luck to everyone!

O ok....makes sense....just read a couple threads from last year and they said their statuses changed. That's why I asked.

Anyone feel like listing stats to see how we compare? i'm curious what the average gpa, years experience, etc for previous years were. If thats too personal I understand.

To start, I've been a nurse for about a year and a half now, 2 years by the time the program starts.

Was an Lpn for 5 years, and by the start of the program will be an rn for 2 years on a pccu unit. Nursing gpa 3.2 or 3.3 cant remember which.

By the time the progran were to start I will be a RN for 4 years with experience on a Cardiac Step down, Level 4 NICU and currently Labor & Delivery. Nursing GPA 3.2.

I have 4 years LPN experience. 6 years RN experience. Trauma Emergency Room and Charge PACU experience.
