Applications are open for the accelerated track! The deadline is in less than a month.
I am currently working on my application. I created this thread to reach out to other applicants and potential future classmates. We could provide support and feedback to one another while we apply/wait for acceptance letters.
I have 4.0 GPA in the science courses. Other pre-reqs -- A's except for 2 B's and 1 B+
I took the TEAS twice. I ran out of time the first time and did not get the grade I expected. I was devastated. The second time I took it, I did well and scored in the 99th percentile.
What is your current situation? I confess I am pretty nervous.
Do you know if we have to include references in NursingCas??
Best of luck to all applicants!
I am so nervous! Which TEAS score is FAU specifically looking at? I wonder if they take masters degrees into consideration? I got my Bachelors in Health Science and Masters in Public Health from the University of Florida. I hope its enough! I didn't realize how competitive the program is!
Hi! Now that everyone's applications are officially in....Does anyone know (maybe from a friend who got in a previous year) how soon they tell us if we got interviews?
So excited to get this process rolling!
Hi :) Here is the admission criteria off their website. Looks like they look at "Individual Adjusted TEAS Score."
Admission Decision Criteria
This is a limited-access program and we receive many more qualified applications than available spaces. Admission decisions are based on the following:
1. Cumulative undergraduate GPA.
2. Pre-requisite science GPA
3. Other nursing common pre-requisites GPA.
4. An individual adjusted TEAS score.
5. Personal interview
I guess just assume they look at everything.
Also from their website:
How often can I take the TEAS?
The TEAS can be taken every 30 days. The highest National Percentile Rank Score will be considered in admissions decisions (the TEAS individual adjusted score is based upon the National Percentile Rank Score). TEAS scores are valid for admissions applications for up to 5 years.
