I am currently working on my application. I created this thread to reach out to other applicants and potential future classmates. We could provide support and feedback to one another while we apply/wait for acceptance letters.
I have 4.0 GPA in the science courses. Other pre-reqs -- A's except for 2 B's and 1 B+
I took the TEAS twice. I ran out of time the first time and did not get the grade I expected. I was devastated. The second time I took it, I did well and scored in the 99th percentile.
What is your current situation? I confess I am pretty nervous.
Do you know if we have to include references in NursingCas??
Hi @LindseyS, I am pretty sure the background check and drug test come after you pass the interview phase. I have a question: Did you submit your previous work experience in the NursingCAS application? Good luck and have a great one :)
Thanks! I think you are right about the background check/drug test, I feel like I start over analyzing things when it comes to deadlines and requirements lol.
By the time that I received a response from the admissions coordinator that they don't actually look at your previous work history, I had already entered my current experience as a medical assistant and previous experience as a CNA, so I just kept it in there. What about you?
Has anyone checked to see if CAS received/verified their transcripts yet? Mine still havent been "received" and Im getting really nervous.
Nice previous experiences! Thanks, you were right. I attended the info session and yes, we do not need to complete the work experience, references, and etc.
NursingCAS has verified my transcripts but I submitted them in July ( I think it took about 7 -10 days).
You can always call them or your college to check..
Alsoo, I was told that so far they have ~ 80 applicants for the accelerated track! :)
Don't be nervous about the transcripts. You have plenty of time until the deadline!
I too am still waiting on NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. I had them sent out from my school as soon as Summer grades were posted and still nothing.. I'm starting to get worried. Have you tried reaching out to NursingCAS? I've emailed twice and still no response.
They received my transcripts weeksss ago but I waited until today to submit my application....I just realized that even though the transcripts arrived that does not mean they were verified! OMG.... I am in panic mode because I could have submitted my application ages ago but thought I was okay since my transcripts were already received
How long ago did you submit your applications? And they have received the transcripts but have not verified them??
I still have not submitted the application because I have not received the email or message notifying me that the transcripts have arrived and I sent them a while ago.
The school has advised that they ere sent a while ago as well.. so I have no idea what's going on because I cannot get a response from NursingCas.
Hi Everyone. I am new to the thread. I too am a 2016 "hopeful" for the FAU ABSN program. NursingCAS is fun, isn't it? Lol! Anyway, I have had to call a couple of times, and while the wait can be long (10+ minutes), they are super nice and helpful. 617-612-2880 I stopped sending emails, as they would always send canned responses that would not answer my question. Good luck everyone!

@Asanti12, I think nursingcas is extra busy this time of the year. I emailed them and still got no response. When I called, I could not reach anyone bc I had no ext number. I will try again tomorrow. Let's hope all will work out for us!
Ok so, yes, just because your transcripts have been received does not mean that they have been verified. Even if they have not received your transcripts, still submit your application ASAP. You do not need to wait until your transcripts have been received to submit your application according to the FAQs page on Nursing CAS.
I sent my transcripts on August 12th from 4 different schools (military spouse) and submitted my application on August 21st. All of my transcripts have been received, they are in the verification process. I am not too worried though because I feel like as long as they have them, it is up to THEM to verify our transcripts before the deadline. If you log on to nursing CAS, go to Manage my Programs, and then to Program Status, you can check the status of your application and your transcripts here. Once they submit it to FAU, it should say Complete. Mine still does not say that lol.
However, I checked today, and it looks like the DEADLINE has been extended to 9/14/15. I am assuming that they are super behind and asked FAU for an extention. Cross your fingers. As long as you submit everything, it is in their hands, I wouldn't worry. but still check daily :-)
