I am currently working on my application. I created this thread to reach out to other applicants and potential future classmates. We could provide support and feedback to one another while we apply/wait for acceptance letters.
I have 4.0 GPA in the science courses. Other pre-reqs -- A's except for 2 B's and 1 B+
I took the TEAS twice. I ran out of time the first time and did not get the grade I expected. I was devastated. The second time I took it, I did well and scored in the 99th percentile.
What is your current situation? I confess I am pretty nervous.
Do you know if we have to include references in NursingCas??
So...no one is really stressing too much if you've sent transcripts to NursingCas, completed your application, paid for it, and are now just waiting for them to "verify" transcripts, right?
I completed this and I'm now just waiting for my status to say "complete" but according to NursingCas, it's going to take 4 weeks! (submitted/ paid for my app on Sept. 1st) When I called NursingCas, they told me that I should have submitted and paid for my app 4 weeks before the original deadline to allow them enough time to "verify" as they were currently running at 4 weeks to do so.
But like someone already said- I feel like the ball is in their court now to get things verified before FAU's deadline, I did my part already. Anyone else have a different understanding of this? I'm very concerned...
I would say, don't stress it too much because I think we're all in the same boat. I've spoken with them also and they are giving me an excuse as well as to how it's some way my fault. I sent in my transcripts back on August 12th and still they are saying they have not been received. I spoke with my college and they assured me they were sent. It looks like NursingCAS has dropped the ball and instead of easing our minds and assuring us everything will be completed by deadline date they are not accepting fault. They told me that once they "receive" the transcripts it takes 7-10 days for them to be updated in the system. They never mentioned the 4 week story to me as they did to you so who knows.. Either way at this point we cannot do anything but just wait it out. It just would be very unfortunate for anyone one of us to be overlooked because of an incomplete application.
They are currently verifying info from those who submitted their app on Aug 14th. Verification is done by order of submission. They said it could take 4 weeks or less...but they could not expedite the process. If the app has been submitted through NursingCas, FAU already has it. It will be up to FAU to consider the app before it has been verified.
@Asanti12 and @Nurse_ForLife. I also called NursingCas and the school this morning to try to get some answers after a very troubled night's sleep lol. We all needed some concrete answers about this! Thankfully, the advisor at the school was able to confirm that they are not requiring the applications to be "verified" by Sept 14th, but to be "complete" by this time as they realize that NursingCas takes time to "verify". I then confirmed over the phone with NursingCas that my application was in fact marked "complete". Phew!!! Talk about feeling relieved! Now we wait....
I am so relieved too! I attended an info session.. I found out the same thing :) Even if our transcripts have not been verified by the deadline, FAU will still consider our applications!
@Asanti, I was told that if the transcripts haven't been received, they will look at the grades you have entered in the app. :)
