  1. Hi guys! Can anyone who got accepted say their stats? I sent in my application last week and have been checking my email everyday to see if I got accepted. I want to see how much of a chance I stand. Last minute I also asked another teacher for another reference letter so I hope that goes in in time 0.o
  2. Hi guys! So i have my test next week and I was wondering if the kaplan exam was anything like the teas ... meaning, if it will be computerized and if we are not allowed to take our calcs? Im over thinking this and nursing admission does not know whether or not calculators are allowed 0.o help please. my nerves are killing me. I also want to change my campus of choice now... ft myers instead of ft lauderdale.... idk if that will be allowed either
  3. Hi everyone!! Today I received an email for the interview/test date! Super excited :))) I'm gonna be interviewing Nov. 3, I didn't know there was an entrance exam so I want to prepare for that! I took the TEAS in Sept. for FAU and I heard this Kaplan exam is easier than the TEAS.... I'm not sure... I thought the TEAS was a breeze.. We'll see! Hopefully I will be joining all the people that got accepted for the main campus
  4. Hello guys!! Ive submitted my application 2 weeks ago and have been checking every day for an email! I'm going crazy.
  5. Just as I was about to submit my application essay something told me to reread the personal statement guidelines and I had my whole thing double spaced when they ask for single space!! I have spent hours down sizing and now I just want to try, but so thankful I checked!!
  6. Last questions :) how did you guys format your essay? title? foot notes? numbered with the question and then answered?
  7. I'm trying to submit my application by monday... this essay is giving me headache. I'm surprised they don't ask for any letters of recommendation or resume or anything like that. Has anyone submitted and been moved to committee?
  8. what do you mean by blind profile?
  9. Hi! its great to see a thread for Fall 2015. I am also applying to the 2nd degree option and are waiting on my classes to finish to finally apply and submit. I am confused on the essay questions. I have only seen the 3 which are: 1. What motivates you to pursue nursing as a profession?2. You have a bias against pregnant women who smoke. You have a patient who is pregnant andsmoking. How do you reconcile your bias to care for this patient? 3. You are in a clinical experience at the hospital. At the end of the day, your fellow student states thatshe was too afraid to give the patient a bed bath and didn't do it. A few minutes later, your clinicalinstructor comes to the floor. She asks your fellow student if she completed all of the tasks for the day.The student says, Yes and I documented everything, even the bed bath”. How would you approach thissituation? Are there different questions we need to answer once we start the SOAR application? I was told to not start it until I have my classes done and final transcript sent in to USF.
  10. what were the stats of everyone admitted into fall 2014?? and how is the program going??
  11. did anyone get admitted with a GPA lower than a 3.5 for pre-req and overall? Im applying for Fall and I want to kinda feel out my chances. My GPA is not high but I have a ton of volunteer hours from Moffitt and I've worked there as well. I hope that helps me as well as a strong essay which I'm going to have to go all in on.
