Hi--I saw my dad today and he is in the hospital, dying of metastatic liver cancer. I cannot believe how fast it goes downhill at the end. I look at him and tell him I love him--and he has this cloudy, opaque far away look in his eyes--like death is near. Am I feeling this right?? Have any of you experienced this? Please give your feedback...he is only 60, and I am so very sad.
Thanks, hty:o
Heather,I'm so very sorry
. Having lost both of my parents myself, I really do understand the emotions you are dealing with now. Peace be with you and your family during this difficult time.
Hugs,
Elena
well, it has been since jan 5th-he died. I have been going through some of his household with my mom--and getting things together. What a great man--he loved music, he was an artist, photographer...and I have all these memoirs now--how awesome. Thanks for everything, love, heather/
I am sorry your father passed away. I remember the pain. My dad was on hospice and they had no one to send for a bath, a nurse only came two times a week, no volunteers, no respite. They did not have enough staff.renerian
That's a shame. It's bad enough having to work in this nursing shortage, and then have it impact your own family. Sorry to hear this.

My Heart goes out to you Heather. I lost my Father roughly 20 years ago. I visited him in the hospital frequently and fed him. Still to this day I wonder if he knew it was me. It doesn't matter, though. I showed him love 'til the end. He was only 65.
Love your dad as much as you can, and tell him you do. That will go a far way.
Love and God Bless.
I am so sorry you have to go through this... I was in your shoes 14 years ago (It still seems like yesterday) at the age of 49 and then lost my husband 4 years after that, and he had just turned 30. It is life altering and you will never forget the lessons you learn . Just keep giving love, love love and I promise it will somehow come back to you! I am sending you a bunch of it right now.
Love,
