Hey Everyone,
I'm not new to this site, just new to actually joining and posting my own story since I myself am finally able to began the application process of applying to Wake Tech next Fall. Anyone else out there applying?
I am an alternate but I'm way up there, at the orientation i was number 39 but i emailed beth a few days later and had been moved up to number 32, so i know they have gone through at least 7 people.. Has anyone heard how far they have gotten on the alternate list recently? I hear they usually go through the whole list so I'm going to try to get everything done!
Chelseymiller, you go girl!! I was going to ask if anyone had heard anything about alternates! Fingers crossed for you!
gotgifts3, I totally agree with Chelseymiller! I think you should apply with 142! If you try this semester and get in, you'll be ahead of the game, if you don't, then you'll definitely get in the next cycle! I don't think you have anything to lose!
Chelsey, I am an alternate as well. I emailed her shortly after orientation and she told me I was 6 (originally 11). Then when you emailed her two more spots opened. They're going pretty quick! I am going to email her and get an update. It has been so hard not to email her! I would definitely get everything done. I have to do one more TB test and renew my cpr.

Laila the Clinical times for the morning and evening vary a little each day. In the beginning you are doing clinicals one day a week (Thursday). The earliest time for morning is 645. You are there for 4 to 5 hrs it looks like. For evening cliniclas they all start at 130 and you're done either at 630 or 730. They generally take volunteers for evening BC it is a smaller group. the schedule looks to be:
Monday: 8-12 (lecture)
Tuesday: 8-12 (lab or lecture I can't tell)
Wednesday: A group 8-12 (lab)
B group 1-5 (lab)
Thursday: clinicals
Friday: test, assessments, ect.
It does vary a little but that seems to be the general set up for nur 111. Also just because you are group B (evening lab), doesn't mean you have to do evening clinicals.
