  1. Congratulations, to the initially-accepted students and especially the alternates that were pleasantly surprised when they got accepted today. For those still on the alternate list, try not to worry too much. They will be calling names left and right. See you all during the semester. Schedule B here
  2. Hello Lads and Gents, I'm at work and decided to check my Wake Tech email and the headline says "New Announcement Available in course Gateway to Success Nursing Curriculum Orientation (GATEWAY TO SUCCESS): Current Ranking Number Next in line:1 ... I can't remember the points I had but maybe you all want to check your emails for updates and share. EDIT: This email was Wednesday 4/5
  3. If people would have known they could just pick their letters up then there would probably be a stampede on campus. Even I was hesitant in mentioning it and "leaking" the info because I know Ms.Watkins is a busy woman... Especially responding to constant emails. Sorry! I know anxiety is at an all-time high but you lads and gents can wait a measly few more days :)
  4. I'm sorry! Mail room, not Library. I was at work when I typed that. Also, Ms.Watkins emailed me and was going to allow it because I don't trust Raleigh USPS.
  5. You were able to just go up to the Health and Science Campus yesterday to pick up your letter, or to the Main Campus library room today. There were technical issues with printing letters yesterday, otherwise I would have informed you all of the points range. And today I'm working a 12hr shift at Rex so I couldn't just go on campus. í ½í¸¢
  6. My guess would be that it is because of the many students that dropped this (as well as last spring) semester. They still need to make room for the students who are already in the program, the "second-go-rounders."
  7. I heard from one of my old classmates who got in last spring that there were those who got in without taking even AP I or II. Also those without microbiology and that most alternates got in. Keep in mind that, year after year, the requirements for Spring is significantly lower than Fall. That said, if you still feel uncomfortable with your points then you can retake the TEAS again before the deadline and it should count toward the Spring semester.
  8. Kalogeneris wants you to pass and he means well, but a lot of students feel that they didn't learn anything from his classes. Not 1 that I know of. Newpher is a great teacher and the two of my friends I recommended Newpher to are getting A's. He teaches traditionally who goes into detail and will answer any questions you have. He has study guides for each test and I recommend you do them. Nunez flip classroom I hear is lecture at home. You take the material and you learn it yourself. Come on class and teach or go over what you learn with his assistance as well. I hear it works for those who are on point with their studies. Not slackers. Plus he is a cool person. I like him and I've heard good about his classes.
  9. JPeters247 yes I will be applying for the spring tho I'm not sure if I will be going to Wake Tech or not. Regardless, I will apply.
  10. Gotgifts3 I had Newpher for AP I and Kalogeneris for AP I I. I liked them both but I highly recommend Newpher. Also, Kalogeneris does not teach at Wake Tech anymore from what I've heard recently.
  11. I don't blame you, AP. I only wish I applied to other schools. I'm sure I would have gotten in elsewhere. Good Luck to you and yours!
  12. I've thought about the same thing AP as far as numbers and a list to prevent so many emails. They truly make it harder on themselves.
  13. Glad you two are feeling more hopeful about getting in. No worries... think positive.
  14. But then again, there is no telling what # the no-shows were or if they were alternates or the accepted students
  15. Correction AP, you should be #7. She said she had 2 no shows and 5 alts were just accepted as if 1:40pm April 18th.
