Wake Tech Fall 2017 start
Congratulations, to the initially-accepted students and especially the alternates that were pleasantly surprised when they got accepted today. For those still on the alternate list, try not to worry too much. They will be calling names left and right. See you all during the semester. Schedule B here

Wake Tech Fall 2017 start
Hello Lads and Gents, I'm at work and decided to check my Wake Tech email and the headline says "New Announcement Available in course Gateway to Success Nursing Curriculum Orientation (GATEWAY TO SUCCESS): Current Ranking Number Next in line:1 ... I can't remember the points I had but maybe you all want to check your emails for updates and share. EDIT: This email was Wednesday 4/5

Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start
If people would have known they could just pick their letters up then there would probably be a stampede on campus. Even I was hesitant in mentioning it and "leaking" the info because I know Ms.Watkins is a busy woman... Especially responding to constant emails. Sorry! I know anxiety is at an all-time high but you lads and gents can wait a measly few more days :)

Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start
You were able to just go up to the Health and Science Campus yesterday to pick up your letter, or to the Main Campus library room today. There were technical issues with printing letters yesterday, otherwise I would have informed you all of the points range. And today I'm working a 12hr shift at Rex so I couldn't just go on campus. í ½í¸¢

Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start
I heard from one of my old classmates who got in last spring that there were those who got in without taking even AP I or II. Also those without microbiology and that most alternates got in. Keep in mind that, year after year, the requirements for Spring is significantly lower than Fall. That said, if you still feel uncomfortable with your points then you can retake the TEAS again before the deadline and it should count toward the Spring semester.

Kalogeneris wants you to pass and he means well, but a lot of students feel that they didn't learn anything from his classes. Not 1 that I know of. Newpher is a great teacher and the two of my friends I recommended Newpher to are getting A's. He teaches traditionally who goes into detail and will answer any questions you have. He has study guides for each test and I recommend you do them. Nunez flip classroom I hear is lecture at home. You take the material and you learn it yourself. Come on class and teach or go over what you learn with his assistance as well. I hear it works for those who are on point with their studies. Not slackers. Plus he is a cool person. I like him and I've heard good about his classes.

Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start
I don't blame you, AP. I would too if i were you since you already applied elsewhere. I just know a few people who are in the program and some who will be soon. I've been drawn to Wake Tech since moving to NC few year ago. I will apply to other colleges when I can but think I will end up at Wake.

Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start
There are some CNA jobs that are very flexible with schooling, assuming you are okay with being a nurse aide for a while. Does anyone know when graduation is for spring applicants? I'm assuming end of fall 2018. Fall 2017 goes Fall Spring summer fall spring and graduate end of spring 2018. I'm assuming Spring skips summer initially... so Spring Fall spring summer fall possibly? Sorry if I'm a bit confusing as I couldn't find the info online. Might be time to email Mrs.Watkins but I don't want to bother her. She's a busy woman around this time of year.

Fall 2016 Wake Tech Applicants
I have 143 not 149 as I thought before I redid my calculations. So 143 + 18 (microbiology) would have put me at 161. Acceptance this fall. But I will retake the TEAS as well so another 6,12,or 20pts for Spring. I was sick as a dog when I took the TEAS this year so I rushed to get out, got no points but I knew that even if I didn't pass I could apply for fall. I just didn't think about points while I was trying to stay alive during the test.

22bebe I wish you the best. Gotgifts3 microbiology didn't count for me and that is a nice chunk of points. I know several of my CNA classmates will apply in Spring so if we all get in then I'd have an abundance of study partners. Maybe it was meant to work out this way for me. Everything happens for a reason. The current/former Nursing students that gave a speech today has driven me to work hard. I felt excited as if I was in the program, but I'm positive I won't be for Fall at least :)

I'm so disappointed in myself. To see my classmates get accepted but me, and all because of one course that doesn't count for fall. I'm happy for them tho. It makes me want it that much more. I'm shocked APeregoy is #14. So many applicants and previous students.... I think they should add an instructor for NUR111. Anyways I'm hoping you get accepted APeregoy.

Fall 2016 Wake Tech Applicants
I had signed up for Micro last semester, but I was randomly dropped before the deadline to pay for class. The school pretty much said that it never happened on their end of the database or that I might not have paid-off my financial aid that I owed, therefore I was dropped. I had already paid-off financial aid months in advance so that wasn't the case. Ah well... no need stressing over something I have no control over. Even top 10 seems like a good #

Fall 2016 Wake Tech Applicants
JPeters247 Thanks for all of that info! Makes me feel better that people got in even with D's and C's.. even tho I've gotten nothing but A's and B's since being in Wake Tech. I was a transfer from another community college out-of-state so my transfer grades were a lot of C's and some B's. Obviously, I didn't take schooling too seriously and now it's coming back to bite me. I still only have 149pts at the end of the day... APeregoy I'd be quite confident that I'd get into the program if I were in your seat. I understand that it's not a guarantee and you are feeling anxious because we are forced to play this waiting game. Luckily, orientation is only 5 days away and some of your questions will be answered and hopefully a good weight off of your shoulders. Imagine how I feel at 149pts when I should have 160+ thanks in-part to a computer error
