Published

Hey Everyone,

I'm not new to this site, just new to actually joining and posting my own story since I myself am finally able to began the application process of applying to Wake Tech next Fall. Anyone else out there applying?

Does anyone happen to know how long a student can go without actively taking classes before Wake Tech unenrolls them as a student?

I think it's a year for most schools. I actually have never taken a class at Wake, and my first one would be in the fall of I get in, so I'm not sure how they handle that when you're just applying for a program.

No problem bgo26, I was hoping someone took heed to that, knowing that it's very possible! So when do you plan to apply? Have you taken Teas and Cna requirements yet?

What is the dress for orientation? Like business casual? I can't remember who said they had already been to one...is that what most people wear?

Also...who else are alternates that are still going to orientation and not dropping wake? I figured we could all takes turns checking on our alternate status after Friday lol that way we will know if we've moved up at all (based on our original numbers and if the person checking moved up) that way we get more frequent updates but they aren't seeing our email every week haha

I wore workout clothes last time lol people dressed all types of ways- lots like me and some people were dressed up. I just wanted to be comfortable for the super long day! And it was a different season last time but man was that room cold! Something to keep in mind. And good idea about the alternate status! I'll post mine as soon as I know :)

Hey all! I've been a lurker for the last couple of days. I got my acceptance letter for Fall and am looking forward to orientation on Friday. Keep your heads up! It's been a long and lengthy process for me. I do have one friend that was #27 on the alternate list last Fall and he got a call the morning classes started to be there! There is always hope!

Hey all! Question for those who don't go to WTCC... whenever you applied to the school (since you had to submit an application to the college before you submitted an application to the nursing program), what student status did you put on your college application when you applied? ... degree seeking student, visiting student, transfer student etc? Asking for a friend.

Yes Cphillips!!!!! That's what I'm talking about! Someone who made it in and can shed light for those who haven't. That's crazy that he started the day of classes. I'm so much of a planner that would've really thrown me off.

So so please enlighten us on EVERYTHING! Your points, Teas scores, first time or second time applying and any advice. What was the moment like opening that letter! Boy I can't wait to apply!

When I applied I put transfer student, my first degree was from NY

I also put Transfer because I was transferring credit hours from another school. They explain on the application which one you should pick based on whether you have credits from another school and how many you have.

I'm actually not sure on my points. I completely forgot they were changing over to the new point system this go round. I have finished all my classes. My Teas was a 79. I had all A's and a few B's.

This is was my first time applying as I just did my CNA in December. I didn't get that in on time to apply last time.

But im still a nervous wreck! This hasn't been an easy process with Wake Tech. This will be my second degree and I've never encountered so much confusion in my life trying to get something accomplished.
