Fall 2009 UT Houston BSN Applicants

Published

Hey everyone! I applied to UT houston and I'm waiting to hear if I got an interview. Applicants for years in the past started threads that everyone went to and kept everyone updated on information from the school, and it's nice to hear from possible (fingers crossed) other future classmates. If you don't mind, I'd also like to post our application info: GPA (science and overall), NET scores and experience.

My stats:

Overall GPA: 3.93

Science GPA: 3.75 (I think- UT link is down today :wink2:

NET: composite score was 88% (96 percentile)

I'm currently employed as a CNA in a hospital (only have about a month experience so far)

Goodluck and hopefully I get some replies!

lol. I was tempted when I heard I might have to retake a few classes. Now if I'm retaking a class I made a B in to get an A, then I don't want to waste my time and money. hah.

It's ok. Some teachers really do make very difficult to get an "A". I know what that is like.....but the hardest ones are at the 4 year schools (**cough, A&M).

I'm trying to get into UTMB Galveston Summer '09 program. My interview is Friday!!! UTMB requires patho, and doesn't look at the NET. Even though they are still recovering from the hurricane, the SON is accepting students for Summer. I am very excited, and hopefully I will get in!!

Thanks! I live in North Houston, but we will move if I get accepted. I was nervous, but I've been trying to do my homework on interview preparation. Good luck to you too!

good luck on your interview!

I sent UTHouston an email and Brandy replied saying that all acceptance and denial letters will be sent out on April 1st so hang on tight.

Yeah I applied to the traditional program as well in addtion to the accelerated as back up. They told me when I called that I will get a yes or no letter for the accelerated and then a seperate letter comes a couple days later for the traditional prgm. Weird huh.

Also, I have heard rumors that they will update UT-link with your acceptance status BEFORE you actually receive the letter. Anybody heard of this before?

Yes- I've scouted past threads from applicants for different terms and it seems it updates in UT link a week or two before acceptance letters are received. Last year I think people started posting they were accepted around March 30th (for traditional) for accelerated it was a few days before (don't remember exactly when).... Almost there!!
