Thought I would start a thread for the fall semester! Anyone who wants to share their stats or anything about the application process can post them here! My stats as of now...
Pre-nursing GPA: 3.54
Science GPA: 3.67
HESI: 87.7
Pretty worried that my stats aren't good enough. Scored low on the A&P section of the HESI (80%) but made an A in the class...hoping maybe that will help even it out? I get discourage when I read through the other threads and see people get rejected with 4.0 GPA's and 90s on the HESI. I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.
Is anyone else having this same problem? I submitted my application about a week ago and the status of it says completed. However, on my to do list it says that I still have to submit my HESI score.
It took Elsevier forever to send my HESI score. If it isn't up by next Monday or Tuesday, I would call them. I called and they re-sent my HESI scores a second time for free.
Did you take the Hesi using UT's code? If so then elsevier will send the scores to UT directly. They will be in for sure before the deadline.
If this is the case I wouldn't worry. At the info session last month she clearly said you could take the HESI on the application deadline date and as long as it is under the UT code you're good.
I decided I might as well re-take the HESI before the Fall deadline since I was just denied for Summer. Went through the steps as usual, however I received a cancellation email 3 days later saying I either am not on the schools roster or I cam registered for more than 1 test at a time. Being confused I contacted Elesevier on the phone and spoke to someone for over 30 minutes. All she could tell me was I am not on the UTHSC roster. I tried to get her to explain a little more, but she just kept telling me the same thing and that I needed to contact the school and have them add me to the roster. Does anyone know how the Elsevier system works? How do you get added to a schools roster if you're not even a student there? Is that what the first step when registering is for? Of course I've called the school and nobody answers, so I left a message with no reply yet. I'm getting a little stressed since the deadline is so close and it usually takes a few days to schedule the exam. Any ideas about how this works? I thought about going through the steps and registering again, but am worried that may add another issue that will need to be cleared up.
I am looking at UT Health's nursing website and I know it used to say that we would be notified around April 15th but it now says June 15th. Has anyone heard if it will actually be June 15 for us?
Hello everyone. I applied for the fall 2017 semester. From the past current forum my grades aren't the best compared to many but I can say I have came a long way as my gpa was less than 2 when I started college again after almost 8 years. So my overall gpa is not the best but almost at 3.0 . My science gpa is 3.6 haven't calculated pre req gpa. And hesi overall 82%. Good luck to everyone !
Oh and I have also applied for ADN at lone star as a back up.

Hi everybody! I just took my Hesi today and will post my stats. Not very confident but still applying and giving it a shot. I am so determined to get in.

I think the anatomy score is what killed me. Im excited to keep up with this thread and good luck to everybody who applies! Can somebody also please tell me what classes "science gpa" include for UT Health?

You rocked the HESI...I have a 91 overall, but a 76 in A&P so I'm going to squeeze in a retake before the deadline. I'm also waiting to here from UTMB and UTA.
I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.

Currently taking the last prerequisite class which is philosophy. I have a previous bachelor's degree which i hope will boost my chances .
