Hi all!
Thought I would start a thread for the fall semester! Anyone who wants to share their stats or anything about the application process can post them here! My stats as of now...
Pre-nursing GPA: 3.54
Science GPA: 3.67
HESI: 87.7
Pretty worried that my stats aren't good enough. Scored low on the A&P section of the HESI (80%) but made an A in the class...hoping maybe that will help even it out? I get discourage when I read through the other threads and see people get rejected with 4.0 GPA's and 90s on the HESI. I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.
J2 here! Anyone have any questions, feel free to ask!
Hi Sophie! I would just like to ask if you don't mind, are there any recommendations as to what school to take the nursing pre requisites in? I would like to go to Alvin cc but am not sure if I would be better off going to a traditional college like UH..

I'm not Sophie lol but I know it doesn't matter what college you go to as long as the credits transfer properly, they look at what you got in the class not where it came from. I took some of my prerequisites at lone star and got accepted just fine

Hey! I am going to be graduating HS in the upcoming school year and have been researching different colleges to attend to complete pre reqs. My eyes are set on UThealth and TWU, when you went to school at UThealth what schools did others in the nursing program come from? Im wondering if UT has a preference of traditional schools over community colleges, although I do know that Lone Star has an early decision program linked to UThealth (possible schools I'm interested include Alvin cc, San Jacinto, Lone Star, College of the Mainland, and UH)
