Thought I would start a thread for the fall semester! Anyone who wants to share their stats or anything about the application process can post them here! My stats as of now...
Pre-nursing GPA: 3.54
Science GPA: 3.67
HESI: 87.7
Pretty worried that my stats aren't good enough. Scored low on the A&P section of the HESI (80%) but made an A in the class...hoping maybe that will help even it out? I get discourage when I read through the other threads and see people get rejected with 4.0 GPA's and 90s on the HESI. I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.

No from previous threads that I've read some folks get transcripts evaluations and dont get in and some folks dont get them and get accepted. Maybe they get lost in the mail ? IDK.

Not at all. There is no rhyme or reason as to who gets one or why. I asked that very question to one of tge registrars and she literally said "no, there is no black amd white reason" then just paused like her response was totally adequate and was waiting for my next question.

Nope...I got a transcript evaluation last semester and was denied. Nobody knows what they do or why they do it, which can be seen by reading through all the previous UTHealth threads.

No. Like everyone states, their selection is random. It was my first time applying for summer 2017 and I got a transcript eval, but was waitlisted. My friend who had applied three times only got a transcript eval on her second try. I have no idea.
What is this transcript evaluation you all speak about? What is it used for and how did you all receive it? Does it can of impact whether or not we get accepted?

It's just an evaluation of your classes and what they rank you as regarding your GPA. It also shows what classes don't transfer. UTMB does this for their students before they apply you just have to send in paper work and they will go through your classes. UT doesn't do this and you find out which of your classes transfers after you get your transcript evaluation. This is how i found out my American government class didn't transfer and i had to register for this class right away incase i got in. It sucks because some people don't receive them.

They send them out by postal mail. I've not received mine, though.
