Fall 2017:UT Health Science Center Houston

Published

Hi all!

Thought I would start a thread for the fall semester! Anyone who wants to share their stats or anything about the application process can post them here! My stats as of now...

Pre-nursing GPA: 3.54

Science GPA: 3.67

HESI: 87.7

Pretty worried that my stats aren't good enough. Scored low on the A&P section of the HESI (80%) but made an A in the class...hoping maybe that will help even it out? I get discourage when I read through the other threads and see people get rejected with 4.0 GPA's and 90s on the HESI. :( I do have 80 volunteering hours at a children's hospital but I doubt that would help me enough.

Oh okay. On the website it says notification for summer 2017 will be sent out April 15th. I was confused.

They began notifying people a couple weeks ago. The school tried to get notifications out before the Fall deadline so people could re-apply if needed...like myself:banghead:

oh gotcha!!! That's why I was lost

Do I have any chance if I only get 82% on Hesi test?

According to UTHealth they do not look at the overall HESI score, they look at each individual section. That being said most likely any section with a score under 85% isn't great. I'm only basing this on my opinion and what I've heard from others.

i took it Sunday and it went through yesterday. It's no longer on my to-do list.

They actually just told me again that scores should for sure be in by the end of the week.

Patels, if you took the test using the UT code then you have nothing to worry about since they will be transferred to UT. Elsevier and UT have an agreement to get those scores in. From what I've heard students have taken the test the day of the deadline and their grades still make. Now my question is did you take the test with the UT code?
