I was just accepted to UTA as a student and just filled out the application for the traditional BSN program. I'm kind of worried that my stats might not be so great and wanted to see if anyone else has applied?

I am not partnered and I hadn't heard about that before I was on this site. I work full time in a non healthcare field.
I still need to take the three prerequisite classes (Pharmacology, Pathophysiologic Processes, Intro to Professional Nursing) at UTA, as well as Technical Writing, American History I, Texas Government, and College Algebra which should raise my overall GPA.
Thanks Qpid_Mi for responding. Guess I'm not in the running. I have all the required classes so I can't take credit for the 30 hours. Why bother applying as I can't see them even looking at me as a possible candidate. Oh, and the partnering thing? Could you explain this to me and how I can make that happen? Thanks, ladyflyer58

http://www.uta.edu/nursing there is more information on the partnered hospital. There is also the sample degree plan that you can view.
I think if your working at a partnered hospital you have a higher chance of getting into the online-accelerated program. However, you can apply to both the traditional campus base or online accelerated program if your done with all your nursing prerequisite. But I believe the criteria and extra considerations are the same for both program.
Don't let the 30 hour consideration keep you from applying. I bet at least half of the people that apply are transferring from other institutions and don't have 30 hours at UTA.
Hi all! I'm anxiously awaiting the results too! My stats: Science GPA 3.67, Overall GPA 3.54, no special considerations unfortunately... All I can do now is PRAY I get in!
right, I've only got micro and intro nursing from uta. I'm just finishing up pharm and patho, but the grades/hours won't be posted soon enough for consideration.
The Academic Partnerships website lists the "Admittance Decision by" date as April 21. I don't know if this is UTA's decision of who they want to offer seats to or if it's our decision once they extend the offer. However, for the Spring 2014, the admittance decision date was October 14th of last year, but the forums show that the offers were extended on October 3rd (11 days before the "Admittance Decision by" date!). If they follow that pattern for this go-round, we should be hearing within the next couple of days! But again, I guess it could be up to the 21st, if it's supposed to mean UTA's admittance decision. All I know is, I'm ready to know! Tell us! :)
