Fall 2019 Nassau Community College Nursing Program

Published

Hi all! I’ve searched around & haven’t seen any threads on the Fall 2019 NCCC Nursing program applicants so I decided to start one. I would love to hear from current applicants, current/past students, family or friends of NCCC nurses. Any feedback is appreciated. Feel free to join in & let’s chat! ?

The Philosophy 101 that you're taking, is that the course required by Suny Empire? I don't recall that from the information session, just the bioethics.

I need it for SCCC that's why I'm taking it. My first choice of schools is SCCC, nassau is a second option if I don't get into suffolk.

Hey everone!! your scores are great!!..I wanna retake the TEAS but not sure if I'll have time since applications are DUE By march 22nd

Does anyone knows what was the cut off point last semester??

They gave us this on the info session...hope it helps..

You could try taking it at Monroe? Iirc that's the school in the Bronx that they say offers the Teas very often, I think they said every day? I think if your score is 80 or above, and you took most of the prerequisites (with high enough grades) you should be ok

I wannna retake it cuz my scores were very low..Nassau also offter the Teas very often..however I dont have time to study now..Taking care of a toddler and a newborn now..LOL.. But thanks for thr advice!. Sorry cant upload the pic.. but basically it's a list of the classes that are part of the 4 year program (so, taken into consideration for to get into it).. the only changes from previous semesteres is that they added ENGLISH 102 and Pathophysiology, and Electives are not in the list, and there are 24 seats for evening and 66 for day classes. I am applying for evenings.

How did you hear that about 24 for evening and 66 for day-is that for Fall 2019?

I applied for day for Fall 2019 but I'm starting to reconsider, and just reapply again for Fall 2020 for evening. Evening just sounds like I'd have less of a problem getting around everywhere, as I don't drive, and I believe the hospital for evening is NYU Winthrop in Mineola, and the LIRR is right there

They told us on the info session, and it also says it on the paper they gave us. ***If you are going to the info session would you mind to ask what was the cut off point last semester and how many applicant they had. thanks!

Really hoping I get in, I hear ncc gets around 1000 applicants and around 80 are accepted. So far I took:

Anatomy and Physiology I: A

Anatomy and Physiology II: A

Medical Microbiology: B+

Statistics: A

Psychology: A

Lifespan: A

History: A

English: B

Biomed: B

Teas: all 80s

I didn’t get in last semester but took biomedical. I honestly believe ncc is one of hardest programs to get into in the ny lol

You have great grades and scores.. I cannt believe u didnt make it last semester. Do you know the cut off points por last semester?..They only different from your last application is Biomed?

When are acceptance letters/emails supposed to go out?

For Suffolk we got them on Friday ?

There are probably more applicants in Nassau so more to review but I'd think soon.

The last time I called admissions to check up on my application, the woman who answered said they will go out early May, but from previous threads, I gathered that they go out late April, so ?. Will keep this thread posted if I see anything
