  1. Has anyone done this before? I'm graduating with my RN right now and would like to jump right into my BSN and get it done quickly. Competency-based seems like the best way, but a lot of those are pass/fail. I'm wondering how it will affect graduate level education afterward if I go to a semester, credit, and letter-based system. Would I risk having to re-taking some classes? I'd rather not do competency-based for an NP degree. Thank you!!
  2. You should def get in! In the mean time, make an appointment for a physical in July/August and make sure you have COVID vax (no exceptions) + at least one booster. Series in progress is OK as long as you are on schedule. Try to get your past lab work from doctors for proof of MMR, TdaP, etc and you'll need titers or boosters. Saves some stress
  3. Finishing my first year at Gateway. Someone was over 100 on waitlist. They keep offering seats until the few days before classes start.
  4. I’m Gateway, but all CT community colleges are technically all combined into one now. There isn’t a form or anything, if you look on Castlebranch there is a spot to upload a copy of your vaccine card.
  5. I know that 25% of students picked are at random for equal opportunity. If the open seat was someone randomly chosen, they may have to randomly choose replacement to meet 25%? Not sure
  6. Gateway added a day section. Try going to your schools site and doing a course search. It’ll show you how many seats are available in each class. The size of each school is very different. Last year gateway got into the 30s
  7. I was accepted to a nursing program 3 years ago but had to bail like 3 weeks before classes started. You never know!
  8. Congrats! Orientation is next Tuesday
  9. I just accepted Gateway! #12
  10. What were your stats like? My community college back on Long Island had totally different admission scoring so I was a shoe-in there but couldn’t start. The random 25% is annoying. Because if not for that I would have gotten in. I got an 83 on TEAS and a B or B+ in A&PI. But I have everything done except for the NUR courses.
  11. Anyone else on the waitlist for Gateway??
  12. Well the deadline to accept isn’t until May 1st, then give 2-3 weeks for processing, paperwork, etc. June sounds about right.
  13. Haven’t heard anything yet. #12 for Gateway
  14. I mean in general, applicants from last year were able to defer? I know you can’t do that now
