They were expensive but I thought we had to have water resistant shoes. During our mandatory meeting someone asked if they could wear sneakers and the director said yes. So maybe any white sneakers are fine? I don't know! Curious- how is everyone feeling about med calc? Im kinda freaking out.
  2. I really do not understand why they don't make both Chem and Micro prerequisites for the program if they feel so strongly about them being completed before the program starts!
  3. I would assume it would get send to your regular email. Just to be safe I would reach out to the Nursing director at NCC and ask her to put you in contact with a nursing advisor at NCC. That way you have an advisor who can help you out when you have questions.
  4. Good news! I received this email from the credit evaluation coordinator in regards to the University of Phoenix Micro class: Good morning, How are you? CT State Community College will accept the Microbiology course from University Phoenix. Once you complete the course please have the official transcript from University Phoenix listing the grade for Microbiology course sent to [email protected]. James Cousins Transfer Credit Evaluation Coordinator CT State Community College Phone: 203-596-8601 Email: [email protected] The class is $1,592.00 Which is a lot but for someone like myself who needs both Chem and Micro this is definitely the best option. It's a 7 week course with the lab, completely online.
  5. So there's actually two Micros, one is 4 credits. I send an email to the CTCC credit evaluation department to make sure it will be accepted at Capital for Nursing. I'll let you know what they say! https://www.phoenix.edu/online-courses/sci250.html
  6. Do you know if the University of Phoenix requires Chem as a prerequisite for Micro?
  7. It won't let me register, it keeps giving me a message saying that I need BIO2350 as a corequisite. Anyone else having the same issue?
  8. I also have to take Micro and was wondering why they don't allow you to take it Summer 2025. As long as it's completed before fall of 2025 I don't see why it would be an issue. Maybe I'll email her back and ask ? I'll be that girl.
  9. Just wanted to give any Capital ladies/gents some info, I emailed the Nursing director and she said the NUR1120 course will be available for registration this week. She didn't specify when.
  10. I wish Capital would add the NUR1120 class to the registration page! Has anyone heard what the class days and times will be for NUR1120 at Capital?
  11. I didn't see anything about fees once you accept your spot. You do have to pay for a background check, drug test, and a CPR certification before the fall semester.
  12. I copied and pasted the info regarding Capital Orientation from the acceptance email: General Mandatory Freshman Orientation on May 30, 2024, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm in the College Auditorium (Centinel Hall)-on the 11th floor.
