Hi all! I’ve searched around & haven’t seen any threads on the Fall 2019 NCCC Nursing program applicants so I decided to start one. I would love to hear from current applicants, current/past students, family or friends of NCCC nurses. Any feedback is appreciated. Feel free to join in & let’s chat! ?

I think they only offer the 4 yesr BSN program now. You get an associates degree and BSN at the completion of the program. You can take the NCLEX to be an RN after you complete your associates dont have to wait until your BSN. I did hear at info session i attended that you can transfer to another school after you complete your Associates and do your BSN somewhere else but dont quote me on that. You should ask the nursing dept.

Can you tell us about the interview/Registration, and advisement process ?

Idk if things will be the same with the change in the program but for me they gave us a date and time to come in. We had to write a personal essay. We registered that day and then the advisor read over your essay and that was it. They went over your credits and what courses you were missing if any.

We had to bring it that day and during the “interview” the lady just read it and said very good, you don’t have any classes to take other than the nursing classes, go register. And that was the end of that. I was there for maybe 2 hours if that much.

I believe so, but if I'm not mistaken think you can take the NCLEX after 2 years and then transfer somewhere else, but don't quote me on it. I'd suggest calling the nursing department and asking in case I'm wrong!
