  1. Hi all, I'm graduating in December and I currently work as a surgical technologist. My goal is to stay in the operating room and transition into the circulator role. Since I have 10 years of scrubbing and OR experience under my belt, what is a fair starting hourly rate? For reference, I am in the New York- Long Island area. Thanks for the feedback.
  2. Hi all, did they finish accepting students for Spring? How expensive is the program altogether? Thank you!
  3. Everyone I met so far has been very nice and helpful.
  4. To my understanding, everyone has to retake that history class offered by ESC. It's an "upper division" class that is 4 credits and I'm assuming that most of us took history courses worth 3 credits, including myself.
  5. Thanks for the info! Very helpful!
  6. I only need Nursing courses, so I’ll call tomorrow first thing and see what the deal is!
  7. On the rubric I saw it's NUR 102 And NUR 116 for the first semester. Also from what I read in my packet (which did not include a rubric, I got that information from the Day Program website), it said that priority registration starts as early as tomorrow but you can't register for Nursing specific courses until after orientation which is May 3rd... ? Anyone know if this is accurate information?
  8. Also, does anyone how how much the program is in total if you're only taking the nursing courses? I've looked everywhere!
  9. Hey guys, Does everyone have their background check and immunization forms done?
  10. Oh jeez, I'm 31. Haha, but I've been a surgical technologist for 6 years.
  11. I personally am upset by the fact that you have to wait more than 2 years to sit for the NCLEX. I was accepted to SCCC but I'm waiting to hear from NCC because of location. But with SCCC I could at least have a license and could start working at the hospital I am currently employed at (surgical technologist). Having to wait longer for a license is displeasing and a turnoff even though I know a BSN is more valuable. That being said, it's not that hard to obtain one online if you have a license and the AS that goes with it. So I guess we will have to see.
  12. Hi all, I was accepted to the Day program at the Grant Campus. So excited!!! Is there anyone else on this thread that already has a Bachelors degree and will be taking only the nursing courses? All the best, Jenna
