Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!
•Successfully complete and clear the MDC vendor level two criminal background screening, including AHCA. You will need to schedule an appointment for your background check. It must be completed and submitted to *American Data Bank (Complio) before the start time of your orientation.
•Renewal needed annually or as requested.
Hey folks, fellow 2018 generic full-time nursing student here, the consensus is that it's the "Nursing ACHA Background" that we have to schedule right? I figure that the "Medical Campus Students" is for people who elected to go into another field like radiology/RT, etc right? I'm just worried about scheduling the wrong option, wanted confirmation.

I asked yesterday at the nursing department and the lady at the counter told me to read and follow the link ? The way is written on the instruction requires 2 separate bacgrounds, but I think is silly to do both.
so I went to the background place in Hialeah and the lady there was much nicer and told me to call them on the phone and ask, so I did. The lady at the campus told that it was AHCA only.
AHCA is about 105 dollars ?
Another way to notice if we will need another background is by scanning our paperwork into complio, so dont delay on getting everything ready by orientation day.
Good Luck guys.
I'm attending Medical campus for the generic full-time program
See you soon guys

The thing is that there are many of us who applied for two options and until they figure out which one we will end up taking they cannot assign the other option to someone else. I guess as soon as they have enough places decided they will send another batch. Stay positive!
