Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!
Hey guys...so the whatsup group is set? I wanna join. I would love to meet you all, especially my fellow homestead classmates. I'm still in shock, I cried when I got my letter. :)...congrats again to everyone. For those still waiting, there is 2 more waves coming, stay positive.

Yes... background takes 7 to 10 days n Lord knows how long it takes the medical / vacccines/ drug test. I'm calling on Monday to set my appointment ( there are 2 places u can go that mdc has listed ) or u can use your own doctor, I was gonna use my doctor but it may take too long n I'm afraid coz the dead line is so close.
Yeah. I didn't get a letter. So I called my advisor. I applied for the accelerated option. She told me before that my transcript doesn't show my degree was awarded when itself clearly there. I have a bachelor in biology. I've heard they have messed up on people records before so double check with your advisors to make sure they didn't mess up. I'd hate to put all this work and have them mess up my chance of getting accepted into the program. I hear so many bad reviews about the office ugghh so frustrating!!!

Don't lose hope. Yesterday there were some people at the medical campus who had applied for both programs (like me) and we had declined the other option, so you should be getting the email by next week. There are 3 waves so nothing is said yet. Stay positive.
