Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!
Congratulations to everyone!!!
PSA: I signed up for a BLS class with nursing unlimited. They have several different dates and 2 different options a full classroom class and a half online half classroom class. Its $37 which is great compared to the $80 or $90 it costs at MDC. They require you to have the AHA handbook (which they sell for $18) but you can download the pdf online for free. *they are AHA certified!
Also, has anyone looked into the background check? Which one is the option we're supposed to pick?

What is the duration of the BLS course? Is it a literal 6 hours-in-total duration (sorry if this is a goofy question))or is it months or weeks long? I'm asking because my orientation date is the 12th of July.
