Fall 2020 MANE applications

Wanted to get a thread started on applicants for MANE Fall 2020 applicants. I’m applying to Inver Hills and Century with a composite score of 11.53. A little worried it won’t be enough to get in this time around, but I’ve already taken the TEAS 3 times and don’t want to take it again! Good luck everyone!

Got into Arcc and waitlisted at inver at #22. My question is can I accept my spot at arcc but if I get into inver can I accept that as well? I'm not expecting to get off the waitlist but it is my number one choice and I dont want to pass it up as a possibility.

Well Century is my number one choice, so if I get into there, I’ll remove myself from Inver Hills waitlist and you’d be one spot closer. I wonder if Inver Hills always sends out e-mails for acceptance, I was expecting something in the mail. But with everything that’s going on, e-mails seem like a better idea. Wondering what Century is going to do and if they’re behind or not.

I received a rejection letter today from NHCC. GPA was 4.0 and TEAS score was 84%. I did the essay, and the letter said my application was done correctly. I honestly thought I would atleast get waitlisted. Must be really competitive this year.

WOW!! I’m sorry to hear that, that is really surprising cuz that is a really good score. That tells me I definitely didn’t get in.

I also just got my rejection letter from IHCC and the average ranking score was 12.14, and I was sitting at 11.8 with my overall ranking score. It seemed to be really competitive this year, I’m probably not going to get into century with the way things are looking.

How did you get rejected from Inver Hills? I had an 11.53 and am #5 on the waitlist.

I was accepted with an 11.9 at Inver.

I have a feeling I had an incomplete application because I was a transfer student from a university and I applied 5 days prior to the deadline. I haven’t had a chance to talk to my counselor for appealing one of my psych class to get mu my psych general waived. That is my assumption, and I’m a little bummed about that.

Hmm maybe those essays were taken into consideration. It’s odd for people with high scores to not get in if they’re saying that GPA and TEAS scores are deciding factors. I haven’t checked my mail yet but remember that many people decline their seats and they take people off the waitlist. People have applied for Spring and gotten in off the waitlist for fall.

That stinks! Maybe you could call and see what exactly it was.

Maybe, it’s weird they had us do them if they really didn’t hold any weight to getting in.

Anyone hear from Century yet? Hopefully they get their letter out in time...before we’re all quarantined. ?

I'm really sorry! I'm calling tomorrow to see what happened...maybe I forgot something like a transcript? I would think that they would send out all the rejections at once, you still might be good!
