Fall 2020 MANE applications

Published

Wanted to get a thread started on applicants for MANE Fall 2020 applicants. I’m applying to Inver Hills and Century with a composite score of 11.53. A little worried it won’t be enough to get in this time around, but I’ve already taken the TEAS 3 times and don’t want to take it again! Good luck everyone!

I've taken classes at Century and Inver Hills and I liked both. I do agree Inver Hills is easier to work with advisors. But Justin Hauer at Century is extremely helpful. He's not my assigned advisor, but k call him directly and he’ll either answer or get back to you pretty quickly. I’m actually taking microbiology this semester online through Lake Superior and so far it's been pretty easy, so that's something you could look into if needed.

Hey everyone,

I applied to Inver Hills with a composite score of 11.9.

I was hoping for a higher score, but I took the Teas with no AP/Micro/or Chem completed...so that was a challenge. I scored 79% on the Teas and have a 4.0 GPA. Fingers crossed that's enough!

Good luck to everyone. ?

This wait is the worst. Already had Inver email me to confirm my birthday to match up my tease test date. Hopefully it goes smooth from here on out. I think I have a 12.1 at century and 11.85 if I'm doing my math right. It's March 16 when they send out the results, right?

I know it’s mid March, but not sure on a specific date yet.

It says March 15th, but it’s a weekend. And maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll send them out the 13th. But last year their was a delay at Century and they didn’t send them out until March 25th! One more month of waiting!

Oh man,I hope we don't have to wait that long!!!

Out of curiosity, did you all remember to write and submit your essay with your app?

Yup, they said if you didn’t send one in, the application wouldn’t be complete and you wouldn’t be considered. But they also said it doesn’t hold any weight on if we get in or not, which is annoying.

Yes, it was a requirement this round.

I know, but some people either don’t read all the info/requirements or think they will still be OK if they don’t submit

It is annoying that it’s a requirement yet it supposidly doesn’t hold any weight. But I’d also like to know what the “phase 2” is to this transition since our essay is considered “phase 1”

I think they will eventually hold weight in getting into the program, but they are kind of testing it out with us this semester. Also, talked to my advisor at Century a week ago and asked if he thought they would still get letters out by mid March and he said they are running behind, so he’s not sure. ?
