Hey everybody! I just wanted to start a thread where all of us who are beginning the stressful process of worrying over Lonestar admissions can give each other some support! I'm planning on applying to LSC-Montgomery - retaking Psych 2301 in a Second 8 Weeks class to get an*A,* and getting ready to take the HESI in November when Moco's testing opens. I'm freaking out over how much is on the line...must make an *A!* Must blow HESI out of the water!!!!!
Anyway, just wanted to say good luck to everyone as their finishing up their prereqs and preparing for the HESI and ask...
bbsbo5 ~ I know exactly how you feel!!! I keep thinking "what if I missed the call somehow!" I called this morning to see if they've started calling any alternates yet but of course - no one answered! Aaaaarrrrgggggh! I talked to someone over there almost two weeks ago, don't remember her name, and she said if you are an alternate just make sure they can get a hold of you. I'd love to know something before June 7th, I REALLY don't want to take psych again if I don't have to.
I feel your pain with nobody ever answering at N. Harris. I am on the alternate list as well and i guess it is just a waiting process but i would really like to know something now..... From everyone i have talked have said that if your one the alternate list then you are pretty much in the program but i guess i wanna hear for myself....
I stopped by ***** ******r's office today and she was there...I was so excited!!! Got my questions answered......alternates for the Fall should start hearing something in the next couple weeks. She is focusing on the June 2010 starts right now. I hope that helps.
Yes, I'm #17 with an 11.2652. However she said they take it out, way out like 10 decimal places. Gosh how competitive.....there are obviously soooooo many piled up right there in that area. I have no idea what I am after the 2652, do you?
Does anyone know how many alternates there actually is? I am one as well, and if your 17 on the list and the cut off was 11.7 then that's kind of scary

I read that NH cutoff was 11.27 and Mont. was 11.6. I was wondering if anyone had any idea about Kingwood? I am applying for a Spring 2011 start and am really nervous! any light you could shine would really help!
I had an 11.4. With that score I was accepted into Tomball's program for Fall 2010 and was an alternate for CyFair for Fall 2010. I've now been accepted to CyFair's Fall 2010 program but don't know where I was on the alternate list. Hope that helps!
Have any NH alternates heard anything yet? I know we can have until August 1st to hear something but I'm getting a little anxious playing the waiting game!!! I registered to re-take psyc starting June 7th but I REALLY don't want to take it if I don't have to. I wish June 2nd would hurry up and get here already!!!
