FALL 2020 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry into Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program for fall 2020. I was wondering anyone has an idea what the acceptance criteria is?

I have a very good gpa in undergrad (3.92) so the admissions team told me I do not need to include GRE scores.

Also how many words should our essays be?

Best of Luck!

I also got the Christmas card and thought the same thing... like it makes me excited but they probably sent it to all of us lol good luck

I work in admissions in my undergrad school and things like holiday cards are usually sent to anyone with "interest" in the school regardless of completed application or decisions ?

wish it meant more though!!

I’m sure you’re right haha good luck to you all, too!

There was a business card inside for the admissions counselor I had a long conversation with, but I’m guessing that was also in every card?

I’m overthinking everything at this point

Yes I also got the business card and also talked to her as well. Same..applying to schools are so stressful. Hopefully it's only a matter of a few more days! ?

I also got a Christmas card from them!

Anyone else get a Christmas card from admissions?

Sorry my page didn’t load! I see everyone’s post now.

I also got a christmas card lol

Hi All,

So I am a 2cnd time around applicant. Let me give you the info I know. Last year I jumped on a plane and attended the on-campus event. I had a great time interacting with students and professors there. No doubt one of the best schools. I sent thank you cards to the staff for taking the time to speak with me. Submitted my application for early deadline Nov 1. I received a Christmas card and got excited. Everyone who get in received ACCEPTANCE EMAILS. This happened Dec 21st (Friday) Those who were Rejected (me), received it by mail -USPS. So Christmas cards mean absolutely nothing.I believe those this year if you applied for early decision you will hear back the 20th by EMAIL. A few late emails on the 23rd. For monitoring the forums and having applied they give acceptance the Friday-Monday before Christmas. I initially was going to work a few more years and then reapply. I arrived home tonight to another Christmas card. I was torn on it. So I said what the heck "ill apply again". I applied tonight December 9nth so I most likely won't heard back for early decision but who knows maybe in March. If anyone has any questions regarding my process feel free to reach out.

I got the card too. Mine took longer to arrive because I probably live farther away.

I did not read anything into the card other than I am on a mailing list. I get at least one email a week for JH for something like a virtual info session, an on-campus event, and so forth. Nonetheless, it was nice to get the card.

We have about two weeks when we might get an email and have a decision to make.

I'm assuming the December decision is for people who applied early? Good luck to all of you ?

I applied in December so I'll likely hear back sometime in Feb/March? I should have applied early as well...

y'all we're gonna here back in less than a WEEK (probably).

how absolutely terrifying is that?
