FALL 2020 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry into Nursing

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program for fall 2020. I was wondering anyone has an idea what the acceptance criteria is?

I have a very good gpa in undergrad (3.92) so the admissions team told me I do not need to include GRE scores.

Also how many words should our essays be?

Best of Luck!

Just got the email that I am waitlisted.

When did your application get verified on NursingCas?

I have a graduate degree with a 3.5 GPA, low undergrad GPA. still got rejected. A’s and b’s in my prereqs. It doesn’t matter. I’m not going to go for a BSN when I already have a graduate degree. Just have to keep trying to get in.

When was your application verified on Nursing Cas?

Hi All,

Anyone else still waiting? I haven't received anything yet...

Thanks!

I'm also still waiting. I applied December 17th ? I did have an issue with a professor not submitting a letter of rec until February 1st. But I had three letters of rec by January 5th-ish. So I'm not sure what's going on

Hey yall...for those still taking prerequisites still for Fall 2020, do you all think JHU would accept at least one pass class? my school is offering pass/fail due to COVID-19 crisis, I was thinking would it be possible that jh would take classes as pass under certain circumstances? (I.e. lack of reliable WiFi, stressful moving issues, etc)... just curious

Still waiting too! My app was in just before the Jan 1st deadline and verified a few days later.

I would write to the SON and ask. They may not have an answer at this time, but they may have an answer. In general, my understanding is that "pass" is translated to C. I believe JHU SON requires a B- for all prereqs. The impression I got at the information session and during Accepted Students Day weekend, they're very hardline on the B- requirement. If your school is not offering letter grades for the class, you may want to forward or attach a document to show the policy.

Just got accepted!!

Hey, I was rejected last cycle but was accepted this time! You got it!

Hello guys !
just got accepted ! I am over the moon!
I was also accepted at UMSON. Do you have any advice about which program is the best ?
thank you in advance ?

I just got accepted as well! I am so excited, it's John Hopkins! Can't help but dread the tuition cost though. Anyone concerned about that? how are you justifying taking out that much for loans? Any insight would be helpful. Thank you
