Hey everyone! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for our group. I've been following the spring and summer 2013 group a little and figured it might be a good idea to get focused for the fall 2013 group. I've completed all my prerequisites and took my NAT test. Got a 107 on the test and I'm sitting at a 93 will all the prerequisites. So I'm going into the application process with a 203. Does anyone know what the general cut off is? I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure everyone else is too. The only thing I haven't completed is the CPR. I read once that this can be done after acceptance into the program...is that true? Thanks everyone! Can't wait to start chatting!

I read a post from another thread about worksource that said if you are working and making under $25/hour you may qualify for their scholarships.... but then it said only if your family income for the last 6 months is less than 100% of the county poverty limit. Does anyone know what that amount is? I can't find it online anywhere.
I also saw that some students last year received their letters the first week of July! Let's hope that holds true for us too!
Hi hmarie2013, have you been able to confirm for sure if the first semester schedule is 8-4 yet? I didn't apply this semester but it would be nice to know so when I do, I will have a better idea of what the schedule will be like. I heard that almost everyone who doesn't work is approved for Worksource because you have no income. I am not sure but I would think that 100% less than the poverty limit would be 0% which would mean no income. I am not sure where the last 6 months would fall because a lot of Nursing students probably worked before the program but won't work while in it.
Thanks kjkkm,After you responded I was able to find it on the application. Thanks again.
You're Welcome. There is such an overload of information i think some of it just slips past us. I keep recalculating my score to make sure i have it right lol I want to know that I know that I know :)

Don't worry about the county poverty level thing...all they look at is the $25/hr. Worksource is a God-send!!! Remember to apply early though (as soon as you get your acceptance) because there is a LOT of paperwork and hoops to jump through. It's all worth it though!!
How do you apply with worksource? Is there a website? I don't know if I would qualify. I'm not working however my husband is but it doesn't hurt to try, right? Good luck to you all. I hope we hear something this week on acceptance.[/quote']They give you instructions in the acceptance packet. You can't apply unless you've been accepted into the program already.

No, I've already applied for fall. If I don't get in, I'll be applying for spring though :)
