  1. My school required a physical with a dr signing off that we are physically & mentally able to endure the program. Is that what you meant by health check?
  2. The fb page? If you cant find it on fb doing a search for FSCJ Nursing C/O may 2015 then Send me a private message on here with your email & ill send you a link :)
  3. They told us at orientation to keep copies of everything because they lose everything. Case in point .... Glad you finally received your answer.
  4. If you fail any class you get a second chance to take it. You become a reinstate. Reinstated students get the seats that are declined. It can take a few semesters to wait for a seat & become reinstated in the program. You cannot move forward to other terms until passing the class you retake.
  5. We did not all receive ours on the same day last semester. I don't think they all get mailed the same day. Hang in there. Thats easier said then done :/
  6. Congratulations to everyone who rec'd acceptances & best of luck to those still waiting. Lucy is right! Enjoy your last days of peace & freedom (not studying). This is a roller coaster ride :)
  7. Just a heads up. Work Source has changed names to Career Source. Jump on that as soon as you receive your acceptance packages. Their information will be in your packages :)
  8. Yes, you will do 12 hour clinicals in later terms. Techniques is a day by itself because its a long class. The clinical sites rotate hospitals & LTC all over Clay, Duval & Nassau Counties. We don't all go to the same one at the same time. Clinical sites for each semester are built in to whatever section (schedule) you are in.
  9. Whatever day you have Techniques/Skills class (mine is wed 8-1:30) will be replaced by clinicals (7-1:30)
  10. I was wrong First tests were 2 weeks in. med term & dosage calc 1
  11. Hey Beatrice, Our first test was 3 weeks into the semester. Pharmacology & dosage calc. The next week was Health Assessments & Concepts. For pharm you'll study lecture notes posted from your teacher & chapter objectives. There are not study guides for any class. We were given the chance to trade schedules with each other if we found someone willing to give away a choice schedule during the lottery (no-one is willing lol) so what you get is yours. Keep your schedule open mon-fri 8-5 then after getting your school schedule plan around it. A few people went to the dean about their schedule not working & were told to re-apply for the program when they have time. there are not exceptions. Same for all the deadlines for forms, etc to be done before orientation. If its not done, reapply when you have time. Keep in mind you'll spend extra time at school studying (ALOT!) and practicing in the skills lab. :)
  12. Everyone helps everyone out. You all pull each other through. You'll learn that fast. :) Go to Quizlet & type FSCJ Term 1 in the search bar. you will find study guides for the tests to get an idea of what's coming. I use that app for practice just about every day.
