Fall 2013 FSCJ Nursing Student Hopefuls

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hey everyone! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for our group. I've been following the spring and summer 2013 group a little and figured it might be a good idea to get focused for the fall 2013 group. I've completed all my prerequisites and took my NAT test. Got a 107 on the test and I'm sitting at a 93 will all the prerequisites. So I'm going into the application process with a 203. Does anyone know what the general cut off is? I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure everyone else is too. The only thing I haven't completed is the CPR. I read once that this can be done after acceptance into the program...is that true? Thanks everyone! Can't wait to start chatting!

I think I remember seeing the nursing skills kit available for purchase at the North Campus bookstore, someome correct me if I am mistaken.

The only place you can buy the skills kit is StatLine. They have a few pieces at the bookstore, but not the whole kit.

Thanks for the heads up

Orientation is tomorrow........ I am excited to meet everyone!

Hey everyone, just got back from orientation and got my second choice, section 1 whoo hoo. What did everyone else get?

I got my first choice, which was Section 8. I chose it because the clinical site is closest to my home, and I thought that was the most important thing right now considering how very strict they are about clinicals. in case something happens, it would be easier and faster to get to on time!! I DO, however hate that this section involves Fridays! I really wanted my free Fridays. Glad this is a hybrid. Is it true that we don't meet every week though, because that would rock!!

hey, does anybody know if we have the course ID to the evolve course, and if so, how to find it? I've been trying to go into it and look around but it needs a 'key", which I guest is the course ID?

Has anyone received their financial aid or any syllabuses for the nursing classes??

I don't know when/if any of you will see this because I know you're super busy. I hear the RN program has white uniforms, but I swear, I have never seen any students in white scrubs at North Campus, and I've been going there about a year now. I'm starting to think RN students are all phantoms. :)

LOL! That's because we only wear white when we are in the hospitals, etc. for clinicals. Otherwise, we are either in regular clothe or in our other uniform which is khakis with blue polo shirts : o )

Hi! Wanted to say thank you for the great info! I got accepted for FSCJ Spring 2014 term and was looking for information about the medical tests because I do not have insurance and saw your post. Can you tell me about Century? Where are they located and approx what it might cost? Do they have a Nursing Student pkg? Sure appreciate it!

You might be better off posting this question on the FSCJ SNA Facebook page...I don't think people really check this thread too much anymore :o)
