Fall 2013 FSCJ Nursing Student Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone! Wanted to go ahead and start a thread for our group. I've been following the spring and summer 2013 group a little and figured it might be a good idea to get focused for the fall 2013 group. I've completed all my prerequisites and took my NAT test. Got a 107 on the test and I'm sitting at a 93 will all the prerequisites. So I'm going into the application process with a 203. Does anyone know what the general cut off is? I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure everyone else is too. The only thing I haven't completed is the CPR. I read once that this can be done after acceptance into the program...is that true? Thanks everyone! Can't wait to start chatting!

Does anyone know how we go about the flu shot? I'm a little confused due to the shots being expired in June, and our documents stating to show proof of receipt. Do you pay the clinic in advance? I feel silly for asking, but it's my first time getting a flu shot.

Just got a call from the nursing office! They sent my acceptance packet to the wrong address!

Oh wow that is great you got in! I got a denial letter today.

Aww I'm sorry :/ you'd be surprised how many people don't get in their first try.

You don't have to worry about flu shot right now because it is out of season. The paper said we will be notified when it is due. Hope this helps.

Yay! So happy for you after a frustrating wait. Congratulations :)

Indeed it does. Thank you very much. :)

Baptist, the records person in employee health said that FSCJ will take them, she does them all the time. I turned in everything in Wednesday.

Layne3 what hospital? I work at one too and I have my titers from Feb 2013...I sent a message to see if I can use them rather than having them done again...I hope so because then I will need the immunizations and physical and will be done :) Carespot wasn't bad for just the physicals but the titers and vaccines were expensive and all out of pocket.

The nursing office told me to pick up another copy of the paperwork but I'm out of town until Monday. Do you think they would let my husband go get them? I tried calling but no one answered.

Congratulations, Emmy! And I don't see why they would not let your husband pick up papers for you.
