2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Hi!

I wanted to start a board for the fall enrollments for 2019 for the Nursing Program! I have been on other boards for previous HCC entries and find it super helpful and encouraging to hear from others experience as well as overcoming challenges in the process. I plan to apply for the fall class for the nursing program at HCC! I take the TEAS this Monday, fingers crossed all goes well. I look forward to hearing from future classmates! Please, feel free to share and ask questions!

So, in my web advisor everything shows received except prerequisites and teas score. This is my second time applying and last time the teas score was updated the same day. My score is about a year old. Is that ok??

I dropped mine off this past friday how long did it take to show received on webadvisor. we check the status under "my documents" correct?

Just dropped mine off today!

Thank goodness I reread through the application; I almost forgot to include the receipt for the Health Science Application Fee.

I enclosed a postcard too, so hopefully I'll get confirmation soon.

I will let ya'all know when it shows up in My Documents.

@Shannenohh teas score is good for 2 years. So yours still good!

@yrosabal yes it's gonna he in "my documents" I dropped mine yesterday and so far no records shows in my document folder about the application.

Hey Guys, Long post ahead!

I submitted my application on 4.22.19 and... Finally, my documents reflect that most of the documents are received. Just for peace of mind for future readers, below is a breakdown of what to expect after you submit your packet.

  • Check your web advisor but keep in mind, you will not hear back within a day. (I submitted my application on 4.22.19, on 5.7.19 all but two documents showed as received)
  • Once you log into your web advisor look under the communication column you will see the option to click on My Documents.
  • If the documents are not showing up, that means your applications has not been reviewed at all. (Keep Calm, and post here till you hear back!)
  • If your documents are showing up, all of the documents that the admin office has received are listed.
  • In addition, you will see the following verbiage on the top of the box: Description l Status l Status Date l Due Date l Requesting Office
  • Look under the Status and make sure it reflects that the document is received.

Reach out to the Health Science Admin department by email, [email protected], if you realize that a document is missing but was submitted with the nursing packet.

The teas score and my prerequisites are showing up as not received but I am certain both are completed. Just in case, I reached out to verify if this is the case, awaiting a response. When I get an email back, I will update this post. I believe it will stay 'UNDER REVIEW' til after 5.15.19.

Side note: Couple of helpful tips I learned during this process by reaching out to HCC.

  • If you are a current/active student with the school and taking classes or complete your prerequisites with HCC, you do not have to submit your transcripts.
  • If you already provided your High School diploma, GED diploma, and GED scores previously, the admin department does not require you to resubmit it. (Please, make sure to call and verify that they do have those documents on file before assuming they do.)
  • If you took the teas test at HCC, they will have a copy on file. (I did, however, still submit my scores since I was given a copy the day I finished my teas test)

Received the postcard in the mail today, stamped that they received my application on Thursday. Woohoo!

I dropped mine off May 3rd, tomorrow is the deadline. hopefully i receive a post card between today and tomorrow and hccadvisor shows received!
