Fall 2020 El Centro Nursing Program Applicants

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to start a new thread for Fall 2020 applicants at El Centro, since I didn't find one already here. Let's see if we can help eachother out and answer some questions for eachother. Currently, I have 35 points, but will be applying with about 40, I believe. I'm wondering if that is competitive? Also, I need to get my physical, titers, and vaccines, but don't have health insurance. Any ideas where I can get them done at a decent price? I found a website but I am not sure if they will accept stuff from there....

Good luck everyone! What is the date you guys are supposed to get letters of acceptance?

According to the packet, it looks like the acceptance letter will be sent out on April 30.

Honestly, it will be here before you know it! I;m a third semester nursing student at El Centro - let me know if you have any questions and I will help out the best I can!

I was waiting until after I take my HESI again on the 15th. How did everyone else score on their HESI?

I retook it on Monday and thankfully I did a lot better this time around.

I took mine back in January earlier this year and I scored a 92.4.

That’s an amazing score! What did you use to study with?

That’s good you did better this time. I made an 87 cumulative last time but I’m aiming for at least a 90 this time around.

There is an group on Facebook called the online hesi a2 study group. It is a lifesaver. The key is memorization. I promise the files will help you. I also used tecmath on youtube since I wasn't good on math.

I think I saw that group in another post and I tried to join the group but I haven’t heard anything back. But I will definitely try it again. I need all the help I can get!
