Hi knit1purl2,

I was not on the wait list at mccd because i knew how long the eait list was . i took all of my pre reqs at CGCC however. So CAC was my first choice in a sense. There are 32 in our class. Are you applying soon or are you already on the list for mccd?

good luck in your journey

nicole,

i am on the wait list coming up on a year now. i am seriously thinking about cac now. i am surprised how close it is to my house. (50 miles:chuckle) i am looking at cna schools now, knowing that the cut off for the applications is in oct. right? i know i am so tired of waiting and not being asked to the big dance.

thanks for the information, i really appreciate it.

If you are still looking for CNA you won't make it in time for the October cut off for application the classes and the wait for the testing will take too long. I finished in May and my test is Sept. You'd prob be able to apply for the Aug 09 tho

Has anyone interviewed, scheduled interview from CAC for spring?

I heard they're starting in sep/oct, has anyone else heard that?

Thanks,

Jo

I have applied too at CAC and at the end of sept. should be hearing in regards to an interview. There is alot of applicants but only 1/3 of them are completed. Any word or spring 09? I should be grandfathered in since I have been on hold since oct of last yr. First they lost my application, then the Dean was dismissed for letting in students that were not complete with the pre-req's, and they found a bunch of other applications tucked away in her office. And now that they have it in hand of the new Dean(thank goodness) I should be getting in in Spring 09. Wish me luck!!

Good Luck Suec,

I was told that interviews are suppose to be completed by the end of October! Still waiting for a call/letter something, wish me luck.

For those currently attending the CAC nursing program, I read in one of the threads here that CAC does not do a preceptorship in the 4th block. Is that true? I was really considering this program, but I think that not having that opportunity would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks!

For those of you in the CAC program how are the teachers and the learning enviroment, I heard the teachers were not very good from a friend.

Its gotten very quiet from the 2008 CAC bunch. I am thinking they are VERY busy... :nurse:

Hope all is well... maybe I'll see you in January

I am only in Block One, but the two teachers I have are awesome. We are really lucky to have them to help us this first block. We just started clinicals so now we are even busier with the papers we get to write :yeah: I am loving it. It is flying by REAL fast.

Rhonda

Anyone have their interview yet? I'm scheduled in about a week. Wondering what they're going to ask.

Thanks

Jo

Thanks for the reply Rhonda! I will be turning in all my stuff this spring in hopes of getting in spring 2010. What I like about CAC is they give the first seats in the class to Pinal County residents, and I don't live that far from the nursing campus.
