I was curious about how much experience some of the CNA's and nurses at my LTC had so I looked up their licenses at the state board site. I found most of them at this site. However, some of the nurses and CNA's I looked up had no information about these persons. Is this just a mistake that they are not listed or is it possible that they just have fake documents? What do you think?
Someone who is argumentative with their coworkers is sometimes masquerading as a nurse, CNA, etc. They sometimes know just enough to be dangerous.
I know about a nurse who argued with her coworkers about everything. One day, the police came in and arrested her at the facility. She was not even a nurse and never had been. This happened at a place that I used to work for in Atlanta, back in the mid 80's.
Ha - I wonder how close the "Circle of Trust" is at the OP's facility?. . .I seriously doubt that you have a great number of unlicensed personnel working in your facility. More likely, it's a spelling issue or a legal name issue. This thread reminds me of "Meet the Parents" for some reason when Robert DeNiro was searching all his CIA records for "Greg Focker" when his legal name was actually "Gaylord."
On a nitpicking kind of note, I would suspect that the not just the OP's facility but nearly every LTC facility (and hospital for that matter), has a great number of unlicensed personnel (UAPs) working. Others, such as CNA's and rad techs, are certified and so technically, they too are unlicensed.
When I got married I changed my last name and updated the department of public health. Everything was updated with my nursing license, drivers license, social security, etc. It took HR at the particular job I was working at about 5 months to update my new last name, and they never have me a new name badge. So I guess if you looked me up at that time you wouldn't have found me either.

Honestly, I looked up one of my coworkers on the state BON. I did it because I think that she's an *ss and I wanted to see how long she's been a nurse because no one can get a consistent answer out of her. Anyway, I couldn't find her on the registry and I never told anyone. I left it alone, but I shake my head whenever I see her making incompetent decisions and/or arguing with the other nurses. Oh well.
