Failing nclex 6 times

Published

I graduated in July 2014, I failed the nclex 6 times. Did everything Hurts, kaplan, remar review. Ncsbn. I I used the kaplan strategy and study and listen to remar and hurts. My Kaplan average test score between 60 to 65. When I used 50 questions with kaplan I average between 60/65.I am going insane. I don't want to give up coming too far to let go.Please any advice.

I think It's really rude of the nurses saying that nursing is not for everyone. Of course that is true but A test does not prove how good or bad of a nurse you will be. Anybody can pass a test and they may not be cut out to be a nurse. Being that you are from a different country and trying to better yourself good for you!

Keep pursuing your dreams and who cares what everyone else thinks.

Good luck the next time you take your test!!

Thanks

Lol Thanks Deary, finally learned something from this thread that is not made up. Hahaha:saint:

Oh brother.

Actually, passing NCLEX is what makes you a nurse. And obviously not everyone can pass.

Not everyone is meant to be a nurse. This is getting ridiculous. The NCLEX is *minimal competency* to function as a nurse.

Right, I agree. There are people who passed NCLEX and still do not have a clue. :saint:

Being a nurse is not for everyone.

A test certainly does determine what kind of nurse you will be, since you can't even be in the game without passing.

And yes, not all people who pass the NCLEX are good nurses.

That, however, is not OP's issue. OP's issue is that she failed a test 6 times that most nurses pass on the first try.

But they were able to show they had the minimum competency to be a nurse. There are those that don't even have the minimum competency.

I don't know, since I didn't even study and passed on the first try.

Did you pass? I don't see RN or LPN there. :)

From the looks of these ignorant threads doesn't seem like many of these nurses passed on the first try, Just saying :wideyed:

:banghead:

Over 80% of US educated students pass NCLEX on their first attempt.

Just sayin'

Yes, because an internet message board is a great barometer of who passed the NCLEX.
