Failed??

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey guys,

I am new to this. Well, I just took my NCLEX this morning and according to the PearsonVue "trick thing" I failed because it led me all the way to payment option. And, of course, I paid because I think I failed. But, I am unable to schedule a date. Is it because I have to wait for 48 hours?

I know I sound ridiculous right now because I already paid for another test. Ugh! What was I thinking.

Also, does anyone have any studying suggestions?

I used learningext.com and it was too much information for me. Also, I studied from the Kaplan Strategy book. I had 2 study buddies with me. The other girl that took the test with me this morning "passed" according to the PearsonVue trick thing.

Hello Mz. Tinyf00t,

I want to tell you that I feel your pain. I have taken the exam and been unsuccessfull as well. Depending on where you are located it can take from 45-90 days before you are eligible to retake the exam. You can pay for the exam and you will receive your authorization to test with the valid date listed as to when you may schedule another appointment.

As for study suggestions,

I would advise you to take a break to give yourself time to process what has happened for a few days. Next, I would think about some of the areas that during the test you felt unsure about and review those areas. When you get your candidate report back, look it over and any areas that you were either below or near passing is where you should focus your attention to the most. Ultimately you have to review as if you have never taken the test each time you take it. We will pass.

As for learningext, I have just got through the review and also found it long and boring at times. When you feel this way about any material that you are reviewing take a break and do some questions. sometimes our brain let's us know when it is time to take a break. Study for two hours consistently, then take a break. This way you give your subconcious time to absorb and retain the information you just read. Then go back to it later for another two hours, that is if you have the time. Good luck and keep your head up. You have more chances to pass.

I would be looking for the official results before getting wrapped up in future plans.

Caliotter3,

I hope the PearsonVue trick is wrong. I don't want to stress, but it's so hard that they make us wait for at least 48 hours to get our results.

I should really find another studying strategy. It looks like I will have to do questions from books. Thank you so much for understanding.

Your official results are not back as carliotter mentioned earlier. 48 hours does seem like an eternity, but some states have even longer to wait because they do not participate in quick results. Let us know when you finally get your results. I wish you good luck and I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you so much. I hope I passed. I will keep everyone updated.

I Hope you will have a "positive variance". God bless you and your results!

Be optimistic. We'll never know. Goodluck.

I would have waited for the official results before I paid again!!

Same for me. I took it on 27th and the trick says I failed. God bless and hopefully for both of us this "trick" doesn't dictate our success or failure.

So, I got my results and I did fail. Darn! I will pass the next one for sure. Ugh! NCLEX...I'm taking it down. The battle is on!!!
