Hi,
I scored in the 80's and 90's on BoardVitals and ANCC practice exams but I failed the test. I did horrible in Policy. My diagnostic information is below. Can someone guided how I can increase my Professional Role and Policy? The questions were completely different from what I was studying.
I would appreciate any help!
thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah:
What was the source of the ANCC questions? The one's in the review official book or the one's sold on the ANCC website?
Hi, thank you for replying. I bought the online ANCC test bank. The policy questions were totally different and twisted around. The online were pretty straightforward and I scored upper 80s on them. That is why I am shocked and depress right now.
It's a temporary setback nothing more.
Some options to consider:
1. Get the official ANCC review book. It also has questions and goes over the theory in bulleted summary form. I find it overpriced so borrow or rent a copy.
2. Find a NP Role and theory text closely aligned to the test blueprint and review the content. Again borrow or rent. Your school library should have plenty to choose from.
Thank you for your help!
You're welcome
Hopefully others will also post some ideas too. If I see anything else I'll reach out to you. Let us know how things are going.
Thank you for your kindness!

There is an app called “PocketPrep” that has about 600 questions with rationales. It is only about $40.00 and would make a good supplement.
Thank you. I bought that but policy questions were not like the test. ?
There is one called the Lantern review for 200 which specifically references covering policy in detail. My wife ONLY did BoarsVitals ( every question and reviewed her misses questions after the first run through) She was only getting about 65th and passed in 2016. There is also Barkley’s which I hate ( we had to do there pre and post test in school), but I would buy it as well. Remember it’s far better to fail the board than to have failed in school. Also don’t forget that Boardvital has a money back guarantee which I would claim.
Thank you!
