Hi,
I scored in the 80's and 90's on BoardVitals and ANCC practice exams but I failed the test. I did horrible in Policy. My diagnostic information is below. Can someone guided how I can increase my Professional Role and Policy? The questions were completely different from what I was studying.
I would appreciate any help!
thanks
Sarah

Congratulations!!! and the best in all of your endeavors/career. I am grateful for all suggestions. I thought the PMHNP BC exam was very tricky. I need review material that is similar to the way the questions are presented on the BC exam and honing into what they are looking for and selecting the one best correct answer.. I will try Board vitals. Thank you ?
Also Pad, please get mometrix https://www.mometrix.com/academy/pmhn-practice-test/ which is only $40. Boardvitals is great because they explain the rationals so good! And lastly, get the ANCC test bank questions! I had gotten Barkley which was not useful at all. Good luck! YOU WILL PASS! I did it after 3 tries!! :)))))
I was wondering if anyone knows that with the change to the PMHNP ANCC exam, is the passing score still 350?!? I’m wondering because if they reduced the number of questions on the exam, but kept the 350 passing score, then wouldn’t that mean that each question holds more weight to pass? It makes me a bit nervous thinking about it.
What I used to study was the ANCC IQ question, which resembled the pmhnp exam, pocket prep was a little off but great for content. I also used purple book and a review course by Yvonne PMHNP-BC. She is absolutely amazing. Her review was spot on and the truth. Her policy and Ethical review saved my life on the exam because my weakest area. She has all 5 domains plus a comprehensive PMHNP review. I did all her domains and the comprehensive review and I was fine. If you are struggling to pass definitely take her review. She also has a study plan she gives to all her students. Absolutely worth the money compared to lantern review and firtzgerd. I wasted my money on those and still failed first time but then I found Yvonne’s PMHNP review and I thank God I did. Try her out and also sign up real quick for it because the class gets full very fast. Her website is: www.pmhnpexamprepreview.com

I'm not certain what you mean in referencing my reference to medical? I did say that Lecturio is designed to help support medical school students throughout their curriculum and is an excellent supplementary review source (it also has a fairly extensive psychiatric review video series/and questions). If you were to go through "all" of their lectures it would not be an ideal use of your time (until after you pass the boards). However, over the course of time reviewing Lecturio material on a regular basis will strengthen your overall medical foundation.
Also, if I were to "re-read" any of my texts for the exam it might be Kaplan&Sadock (the abbreviated version) or at least all of the sections referenced in Board Vitals.com and the pocket prep application. Overall, I felt that the PocketPrep and the ANCC practice questions (including reading all explanations even the ones I got correct) may have helped the most.
