Failed NCLEX-RN for 2nd time!!! So Sad!

Published

Hey everyone,

I'm somewhat numb about the fact that I did not pass. Went all the way to 265. I just wish it would've turned off sooner instead of wasting my time and giving me a big headache. I'm trying to find out Suzanne's plan w/o causing conflict. And just needing help on finding a book that emphasizes infection control. I'm just at a lost of words. I really thought I was prepared, and I don't have the means to do a review course to be honest....:scrying::cry::crying2::no::banghead:

Don't worry, keep your head up! It took me 3 times to pass! I have the worst test anxiety! I found that when I went in knowing to take the total questions and total time, I did not get rushed or worry about when it was going to "cut off". I took the 265 all 3 times. I used Rhinehart and Associates before the last time and I would pay for them over and over again! Worth all the money in the world, they are the reason I finally passed! Well good luck, you will do it!

Update...It turns out I passed. I know I missed quite a few, but I must have done enough. I still get panic attacks when I am not studying something. I used the Saunders 4th Ed and Lippincott NCLEX questions for PDA ...both were good. But while I was freaking out waiting for the quick results I took some Kaplan on-line sample questions and those seemed really good too. Good luck to all and I'll see you on the other side. Don't give up...it is worth it.

Congratulations! i'm happy to hear people passing!! I know I am not the only one out there. But it just feels like you're trying to take down a big beast and every time I try, I get knocked down. Its like you have to try 265 ways of trying to knock it down!!!!

Thanks! I guess 3rd time is the charm. I've had this problem with the HESI during my senior year, and for each section I had to re-take to the 3rd time. I really wished that wasn't the case for the nclex, especially with its costs, but I hope it will be for the last last time!!!

Just keep your head up and positive thoughts, it is the difference in passing and failing!! Good luck!

:ancong!:

I just found out yesterday that I failed for the second time too! No one knows what we are going through unless they have been here. Everyone is very supportive on here and that has helped. I am taking a break too just the rest of the weekend then back at it on Monday. I did see a website in a nursing magazine for flashcards that I think I am gonna use. the address is www.flashcardexchange.com and it is free to use. Good luck to you. I am gonna wait to reschedule for awhile until I feel more ready.

You guys should called or email Rhinehart and Assoc (nclexreview.com). It was the reason I passed on the 3rd try! They are awesome! Good luck! I know you will do it!!!!

Hello everyone:loveya: I think this is a wonderful forum to help support everyone that is taking the NCLEX; may I tell you guys that I used exam cram and the examcram card that is in the very front of the content and/or question book was brilliant; it has about 40 bullet points that I literally memorized the night before and I truly think it helped me passed. May God bless all of you during your studying and when you take the test. Good luck everyone I know all you wil be wonderful nurses:nurse:

Hey hey hey, I can totally relate to what happened to you. I failed it twice and it felt like the end of the world. I felt like I am a total failure. I gave up and thought never to take the exam again. Now its been 5 years. In these five years I always felt a void in my life. Finally, I decided to do it again. I have to pass it. Now I am getting ready for it. For you I would really hope that you don give up, we all know its hard. Specially when you fail once and heck yea when you fail twice. My heart goes out to you. Please take time and keep trying, I know you can do it. If you can pass nursing school, you can do this. Best of luck.

AugustBoy! Check out Rhinehart and Assoc review prep! I failed twice and waited 4yrs to retest! I took this review and passed it! It was all bc I took that wonderful review class! Hope this helps! Good luck! I am proof it can be done!
