so depressed. i dont know what to do?

anyone with suggestion im all ears.

thanks :crying2::confused:

I failed LIfespan 1 and 3, i was feeling so down. I sailed through the other exams. I just took the content guide, and broke down all the signs and systems of the diseases. It helped alot, and i passed them both both a few weeks later. Just change up your studying pattern, thats what i did.

Do you know why? If the answer is yes then you will pass next time. :)

i think so

shot i get ready and start studing for lifespan 3 or ask to retake lifespan 2. how do you do a retake a test.

You just sign up for and pay for the test over again. You might want to consider taking another test, then coming back to this one. That is something that many do if they have trouble with a test. Don't worry about retaking a test. As long as you pass it at some time, you will progress.

Did you take the practice tests from ECE? They are really helpful! If you did take them, there is no reason to pay for them again (it'll be the same questions)...just study the questions & rationales again. Lifespan 2 is difficult because as you know, it is part med-surg / part mental health...a lot of info to cover on one test.

good luck

don't lose hope. i know the feeling. i failed my last exam-lifespan 3 and it took me 3 months to recover and passed it. i requested to take it "early" so they cut the waiting time from 60 days to 30 days. but like what i said, i had the intention of retaking it after 30 days but i lost my motivation and was depressed a bit. please don't wait 3 months like i did. be blue for a couple of days and then push yourself back up and get on track.

if i were you, i would move on to the next nursing exam and comeback to this one later. then before you know it, 60 days is up and you can re-take it again. but if you can't move on to the next one without passing this, you can ask ec to waive the waiting list for retake.

good luck! you'll be at the cpne freaking-ville before you know it. :D

I failed Lifespan 2 also. I move on to Lifespan 3 and came back and retook it. It happens! Just move on. You will pass it next time.

I just finished Life Span 2 yesterday and I thought that I was going to die...for me it was the hardest test so far! It was the third test this week for me as I took Repro on Saturday, LS1 on Tuesday and finished hell week with LS2 on Saturday again...maybe 3 days wasn't enough time...who knows lol. Get back on that horse and kick some butt!! :yeah:

WOW! three test in 1 week, what an accomplishment. I have the last three Lifespan exams to take and then I will be finished with theory exams. I'm trying to get LS 1 down, but studying for ls 3 as well.

As draining as it is, you just have to pick yourself up and move on to the next exam. I too failed a couple of exams and it feels like the end of the world. You put soooo much into it. Honestly you have to be in the right mind frame. If that makes sense. The exams I failed, I failed because I had put way too much pressure on myself. But when I was relaxed and not rushing myself to finish. I passed. If I can do it, I think anyone can. (I am waiting to take my CPNE).

On a side note I bought Lisa Arends study guides from Ebay. Everything was broken down nicely and it was an easy read. I also reviewed my notes from traditional nursing school. Hope that helps and best of luck.
