Failed..AGAIN

Published

So...failed my NCLEX for the second time. I feel so lousy..like a dissapointment to everyone. I wished I could have passed. It's hard for me right now because I have moved out with my boyfriend, and don't have a job...so he is paying all of the bills. I just feel crappy because I can't help pay for anything. THen to top it off I have to study and take the test again....and hope I pass.... I mean I am always going to have some doubt now that I won't pass...this sux

Have you thought about applying for a tech postion somewhere? I know it doesn't pay what nursing does, but it would be something until you pass boards. And, who knows, it might even lead to a permanent nursing position after you pass :wink2: ! Keep the faith & good luck to you!

Don't feel bad about failing the test. I have failed it numerous times also. I took my nclex 11 years ago and after failing about 4 times, I went into a totally different profession. I have been a director at a daycare since then and I want to pursue my nursing career now. I have to start studying again and I don't know where to begin. I'm confident that I will pass this time, because I absolutely hate my job and I have to move on. Stay encouraged and know that there is always someone worst off than you. We can do it and we will. If, we have to take it 10 times, we will pass. We have to believe it! Don't you dare give up. Life is full of chances, and we have to study hard and not be afraid. All the encouraging words on this web-site has given me a higher level of confidence. Good Luck and let me know how you do. We can do it if we only believe we can.:lol2:

You are not alone! I cannot stress that enough. For me, just KNOWING that other people are right there with me, makes me feel so much better.

I failed my second try. I studied my orifice off too. How could that happen? I was SO sure Id pass.

Now, to put more pressure on my back, I live in a state that requires you to take like 90 hours of clinicals and 50 hours of a remediation class. I really dont want to have to deal with that humiliation.

If you, or anyone else reads this and knows of a tutor, please let me know. I am also doing Suzannes plan. I ordered the book today after I found out the bad news.

If I take comfort in anything, its knowing I have support through these forums. People going through the same thing, and people who made it through. We all unite and support each other without many of us ever knowing each others names.

The only thing we can do is keep going. We can make it. I find strength through all of you, and perhaps you can too!

Good luck.

Why don't you try suzannes plan...

Sorry--I am new to this site so I am not sure what you mean about Suzanne's plan--what is that? I too failed twice and I am at a loss as to what to try next.

Thanks for your reply.

I felt the same way, it's easy to feel down and depressed about failure. As nursing students, we aren't used to it. I know if I failed a test in school, I would almost certainly fail the class. I keep telling myself I made it through that and I can make it through this test! You can too!
