HAS ANYONE FAILED WITH 85 QUESTIONS on the nclex PN?? and has anyone failed the first time around, gotten to the cc payment page with pearsonvue and then passed the second time around and NOT been able to register? Your answers would really help calm my nerves. Thanks for reading. Your answers would really help as the turn around time for California to get your results by mail is 7-9 weeks!!!!!!

I took my NCLEX PN, got 85 questions, and passed. I did not try the Pearsonvue "trick" so I don't know about the CC page. There were like four of my classmates that took the test the same time I did and they got 85 questions and passed also.
I wish I could say I walked out of the testing facility that day SURE I had passed, but that would be a lie.:) I think everyone feels that way because frankly the test is hard and it is different than even the ATI tests... or it was to me anyway. I had read on here that folks had both passed AND failed with 85 questions. I sure feel for you having to wait that long to get your results. I am in Georgia and fortunately we can get ours in 48 hours. Boy that was the longest 48 hours of my life lol!
Just try and keep thinking positive. Being as so many of us here passed with 85 if I had to take a "guess", I would say you probably did pass:) Good luck to you!
Have a great evening!

Hi Everyone,
I am studying for the nclex-PN in CA, what online reviews were helpful, Kaplan, Hurst, ect.?
(I have nclex cram, Saunders 3 & 4, Lippincott, "nclex Made Incredibly Easy 2") for reading also; Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks for responding:loveya:
Hi,
I only used the Saunders 4th edition book myself. I found it to be really helpful and informative. In fact I told one of my instructors they should have this one in the program instead of the Lippincott they currently use.
Good luck on your test. I am sure with all this information you have on hand you will not have any trouble passing!
Have a great day!
Congratulations on passing!!!
Thank you Pegausus65, I am relieved to know that Saunders had the info & format to prepare you for the nclex-pn. :tku:

:loveya:Hello everyone. This helped me sooo much. I found out today that I passed. It was my second time around. The first time I got 78 questions and was in lala land. I really believed I passed. I did the PVT when I got home and went to the payment part. I kindof brushed it off and 3 weeks later I got the dreaded letter in the mail. I had just gone through a new grad program and was working in the ICU. Well they had to let me go with the promise that I would have a job after I passed. I took the test again Sept. 16, 2009. I had 134 questions with some of EVERYTHING. Terrified I did the PVT and it blocked me from Registering. I really wanted to believe and I read tons of blogs yesterday from here...all saying the same thing! I am just here to say....IT DOES WORK!!!!:loveya:
:ancong!: Can you share what you studied that worked for passing? Did any material you studied have the questions written similar to the way the nclex questions are?
thanks for replying

Yes pearsonvue trick does work. I passed the first time around and went past 85 questions. I walked out of the facility thinking I failed miserably.
