No replies from students please!

Nurses, are you frustrated with trying to read theses forums only to find that most of the posts are from students or nurse wanna-be's looking for medical advice? You can usually tell them by the poor grammer.

Can we have a forum created for experienced nurses only to post?

No flames, let's just be honest here.

Blass yur hart. Whut did a NURSIN Stoodent do to ye anyway? It luks 2 me lak you oubviously hav sum underlying issues with nu stoodents! :kiss

HMMMM! Breaking the rules here student nurse butting in. As student nurses we don't ask for medical advice we often ask relevent questions to get a feel for what it is like when we do get out "there". I'm not asking "hey I have a big boil on my butt what should I do?" I am asking for honest advice or guidance or because of honest curiosity not because I am a lowly student wiff pour grammer!!

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thankya: :thankya: :thankya:

BTW, asking medical advice is not permitted and those threads always get closed down. It's definately not the students and inexperienced nurses asking these questions, but sometimes a nurse who doesn't have experience in the field she/he is asking the question about. This is more often the case.

i have to say that i'm absolutely amazed at how threatened some folks seem to be by the idea that experienced nurses might want their own forum. as far as i can see, the original poster didn't say anything offensive, but i'm offended by some of the subsequent posts on this thread attacking both the op and anyone who agreed with her. i just don't understand. what is so very threatening about the idea of experienced nurses venting to one another?

ok. what is your definition of a experienced nurse? np, bsn, adn, lvn or joe blow from idaho????????????

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

This is my main problem with the whole idea of this.. The Op has already made this point... "Practicing RN's".

i wasn't threatened. i took issue with the holier-than-thou-ness of the op's posting, not to mention her idea of an experienced 'nurses' forum being only for "practicing rns". that's offensive.

now a separate rn forum? i see nothing wrong with that. there's already an lpn and a cna forum.

As for why it was offensive to some, The OP has been a member here for all of 7 days and creates a thread that insinuates that all of the grammatical errors on allnurses must be made by students, who by the way are only "wanna-bes" and how tiresome it is to wade through all of our obviously worthless posts. Also has the nerve to try to stipulate who can reply to her thread. Then this person went on to explain that "experienced nurses" were RN's and the forum should be made for "experienced RNs only". Yep offensive to students and LPNs. :nono:

This, too.

The OP has no intention of returning as evidenced by her post (#20).

Thread has now run it's course.
