No idea what to label this thread so that's the best I could come up with. :chuckle I enjoy walking the dog or just walking the treadmill several days a week when possible. Now I'm trying to think of a way to study while I exercise so that I never use the excuse "that time could be spent better studying". I'd like to figure out a way to use my ipod to listen to something that is connected to what I'm studying. I'm just not sure how to go about this though. Anyone know if there are things you can download that might be good learning tools. I don't know if this makes sense or not. With a family of 3 kids I'm hoping to be able to utilize every minute I can.
thanks!

Are there any obese nurses?
I have no idea how that is related to my post nor why it matters.

I haven't used them but I've heard other people recommend Vango Notes (www.vangonotes.com I believe). You can download chapters from books/textbooks and put them on your iPod. I know what you mean about wanting to use your time efficiently.

I agree, obese nurses have nothing to do with your post. Anywho.....
I don't know of any programs you can download but why don't you try recording your lectures and then converting it into a downloadable form. That may actually be more useful than finding a program online because your tests will probably be more on your lectures. If you start listening to a bunch of other information, you may overload yourself with information an you could end up doing worse in your classes.

I am the queen of iPod studying :-)
I have been known to record lectures, but while I run I usually listen to lectures I've downloaded from iTunes. I listened to A&P lectures for the past two semesters, and chemistry before that. Also, there are nursing related podcasts that I have found really interesting as well. In the iTunes search box, just search by keyword (anatomy, for example) and then select podcasts and you'll find more options than you ever expected. (FWIW, Dr. Kerry Henrickson's A&P lectures are GREAT!! I also listen to MedPod101 which usually has nothing to do with my school work, but they are short and interesting)
It's been a huge help to hear the same information presented by another person - for me, it has strongly reinforced my learning, and gave me a greater and more indepth understanding of the material.
I'm taking Micro this summer - you'll be able to find me running on the side roads with a Border Collie and Dr. Henrickson's micro lectures! What more could a girl want?

I record all my lectures on my MP3. I rarely study notes but instead listen to the lectures when I cook, clean, shop, drive, and workout. I have taught myself to be an audio learner which works out great because I can get a lot more done.
